8 Tips For Boosting Your Top Robot Vacuum Game
Top Robot Vacuums and Mop Combos

Robots aren't quite as adept at picking up debris like screws made of metal or pieces of pasta. They are however excellent at sweeping dust, pet hair and food particles. The best models are equipped with intelligent navigation technology that helps them avoid cords, toys, and other obstacles in the household.

1. Roomba iRobot i3+ from iRobot EVO

The iRobot Roomba i3+ is a great robot vacuum with a number smart features to make it easier to maintain. The automatic bin emptying feature is one of the most impressive features we've seen in a robot vacuum. It is a great choice for both carpets and hard floors. It's also simple to set up and operate, with the app guiding you step-by-step through the procedure. Another notable feature is the ability to return to the spot where it began in our tests. It did this for 77 minutes in one cleaning, before running out of battery.

The i3+ EVO, unlike some of the other robot vacuums that we tested comes with a self-emptying bin that automatically dumps debris in an external dirt container on its charging base when it's full. This reduces hands-on maintenance and also helps prevent the i3+ EVO from overfilling, but it still requires manually cleaned after each cleaning session. The i3+ EVO dustbin can hold 2.4L which is enough to last through four to five cleaning sessions.

This model, like the i7 uses state-ofthe-art floor-tracking sensors to create maps. It also allows you to navigate through neat rows. However the i3+ EVO only stores a single map while the i7 is able to store multiple maps. The i7's map can be used to create virtual barriers and no-go zones, but not the i3+ EVO.

While the i3+ EVO is better in picking up dirt and debris from surfaces than the other robovacs we reviewed, it's not the best when it comes to cleaning edges and corners. It's also a bit less gentle on furniture, despite being fairly quiet. It was a bit rough on furniture as it pushed chairs away. It also made some collisions against the sides of the test bed.

2. Black & Decker Pro Q5

The Q5 Pro is an excellent option, whether you're expanding your robot vacuum collection or are just beginning to get started. It packs serious power, advanced navigation and easy automation into a slick design at a price that is affordable. It's the best pound-for-pound model currently available and is even better than some of Roborock's much pricier models in a variety of ways.

This robot does a fantastic job of cleaning floors with no dust and its avoidance technology helps it stay clear of furniture legs and other obstacles. It also performs well on carpet and earns an excellent score in our navigation tests. The only drawback is that it's noisier than other models, and doesn't perform as well in our satisfaction of the owner and predicted reliability assessments.

The Q5 Pro has a very large dust bin of 770ml which means you won't have to empty it as often as some other 2-in-1 robots. Its 240-minute runtime is also quite generous in comparison to other robots we've tested. When the battery is low it returns to its dock and automatically recharges before continuing cleaning where it stopped. You can manage the Q5 Pro via the app and use voice commands with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant.

This is one of the first robots we've seen incorporate 3D mapping. This, along with other innovations made it perform extremely well in our tests of vacuuming and mopping tests. You can schedule cleanings or set up no-go zones. You can also see the battery's status. The app is easy to use, but it does not support Apple HomeKit. The feature is scheduled to be added in 2025. As of November 1, Apple has updated a footnote on its website to indicate that this feature will be delayed until 2025. HomeKit isn't compatible with several other robots, however Siri Shortcuts are.

3. TP-Link Tapo RV30 Plus

If you want a robot vacuum cleaner that can also mop and is very affordable, the TP Link Tapo RV30 Plus is the right choice. It comes with a plethora of features for the cost and features a stylish design. It can be controlled using the buttons on the device, via the app or even using voice commands. The device is powered by batteries, and the vacuum container is able to automatically empty itself.

The TP-Link RV30 Plus is a great vacuum cleaner for standard messes. It can also be used to lightly mop on hard floors. It comes with a replacement sweeping brush and mopping cloth, as well being a HEPA-filter. It can be used in conjunction with a smart home hub, such as Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant for convenient voice control. The TP-Link RV30 Plus is easy to install and can be connected to a variety of floor surfaces using the automatic mode. This ensures the best cleaning results for every area and floor type.

You can select from three cleaning modes that will meet your needs. The vacuuming mode makes use of the smart sensor for detection of obstacles like stairs, furniture and edges. The mopping mode is utilized to automatically clean floors or to remove stubborn stains and liquid spills. A third option allows you to combine both modes to provide a more thorough and thorough cleaning.

The TP-Link RV30 Plus has a powerful suction, 3 settings for dry mopping, and can quickly remove dust, pet hairs, crumbs and other debris from floors of any type. The device can even clean carpets without damaging them thanks to the specially designed mop.

In the initial mapping run the TP-Link RV30 Plus scans and records the layout of your home using its LiDAR and Gyro dual navigation system. You can alter the map using the app and merge or split rooms based on your preference. You can also build virtual walls and no-go zones to stop the RV30 Plus from wandering in areas you don't want to be in.

4. Eufy iMop

The Eufy iMop robot vacuum and mop is one of best full-featured robots for flooring made of hard wood. It features a high-tech navigation system that does a great job of mapping your home's floor and even across several floor levels. The base station is well-designed and can automate cleaning to a great extent. It is a great obstacle avoidance system and navigation.

This model makes use of a dToF internal LiDAR sensor to create a map of your home, resulting in efficient cleaning routes. The iMop received high marks for its coverage and navigation. It also did an excellent job of avoiding obstacles such as furniture. It can also find its way to the base station in case it runs out of batteries during cleaning.

It also comes with a spot cleaning mode that allows you to clean or mop a specific part of your floor. It can also be programmed to follow a certain path. This is great if you have narrow hallways or stairs. In our carpet cleaning test it was successful in cleaning carpets. However, it had a difficult time to clean carpets and rugs with longer piles. It is possible to set it up to lift the mop pad automatically whenever it comes in contact with carpet. This is a fantastic feature for those who want to not have to mop their carpets.

The iMop comes with an onboard dustbin as well as a water tank that empties at the end every cleaning session. The dust bin on board can hold up to 2.5 liters of debris. It will only require emptying after a few cleaning cycles. The water tank can handle half a dozen mopping session before it is empty. The iMop is much easier to clean and maintain than the average robot cleaner, which could be a major selling point for busy families.

robotic hoovers is easy-to-use and offers a wide range of configuration options. It has multiple suction modes, mopping settings and also scheduling. It also lets you design virtual walls and no-go zones, so the robot won't wander into areas that aren't safe for it. The app also provides access to iMop status and error messages.
