4. Heterogeneity was moderate to high (I
= 61; 95% CI= 28-79), and there was significant risk of publication bias (p< .04). The 2 studies in children less than 12 years of age showed nonsignificant effects (g= 0.01; 95% CI= -1.16 to 1.18). We found no significant effect on the incidence of major depression at follow-up (relative risk= 0.52; 95% CI= 0.25-1.08), although this may be related to low statistical power.
Interventions for subthreshold depression may have positive acute effects in adolescents. There is currently insufficient evidence, however, that these interventions are effective in children less than 12 years of age, or that they prevent the onset of major depression at follow-up.

AHPND is one of the biggest disease threats to the shrimp aquaculture industry along with white spot disease (WSD) which has severely impacted both crayfish and shrimp aquaculture. AHPND is caused by specific marine Vibrio spp. which carry plasmid-borne binary toxins PirAVp and PirBVp. This research investigated if crayfish are susceptible to AHPND-causing Vibrio parahaemolyticus (VpAHPND) to discern the potential risk that AHPND may pose to the crayfish aquaculture industry. Susceptibility was investigated by challenging Cherax quadricarinatus (Australian red claw crayfish) and Penaeus vannamei (Pacific white shrimp) with VpAHPND in a cohabitation immersion bioassay. Upon termination of the bioassay, crayfish survival was significantly higher than shrimp survival (87% vs. 33%). Hepatopancreas dissected from experimentally challenged animals were screened for the binary toxin genes pirAVp and pirBVp by real-time and duplex conventional PCR assays, and also were examined by H&E histology for the detection of characteristic AHPND pathology. Although AHPND toxin genes pirAVp and pirBVp were detected in a subset of crayfish samples, histopathology did not reveal any pathognomonic lesions that are characteristic of AHPND in any crayfish samples examined. These findings suggest that crayfish are likely resistant to AHPND.Infectious hypodermal and hematopoietic necrosis virus (IHHNV) is one of the major viral pathogens of penaeid shrimp and it has spread worldwide. IHHNV causes substantial economic loss to the shrimp farming industry and has been listed as a notifiable crustacean disease pathogen by the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE). In this paper, we reviewed studies on the hosts and carriers, prevalence, genotypes and virulence of IHHNV. The pathogenesis mechanisms of IHHNV and the viral interference between IHHNV and white spot syndrome virus (WSSV) were also discussed. The mechanism of IHHNV infection and its virulence difference in different hosts and different developmental stages have not been fully studied yet. The mechanisms underlying viral interference between IHHNV and WSSV are not yet fully understood. Further studies are needed to elucidate the precise molecular mechanisms underlying IHHNV infection and to apply the insights gained from such studies for the effective control and prevention of IHHNV disease. The ostreid herpes virus (OsHV-1), associated with massive mortalities in the bivalve Crassostrea gigas, was detected for the first time in the cephalopod Octopus vulgaris. Wild adult animals from a natural breeding area in Spain showed an overall prevalence of detection of 87.5% between 2010 and 2015 suggesting an environmental source of viral material uptake. Overall positive PCR detections were significantly higher in adult animals (p = 0.031) compared to newly hatched paralarvae (62%). Prevalence in embryos reached 65%. Sequencing of positive amplicons revealed a match with the variant OsHV-1 µVar showing the genomic features that distinguish this variant in the ORF4. Gill tissues from adult animals were also processed for in situ hybridization and revealed positive labelling. Experimental exposure trials in octopus paralarvae were carried out by cohabitation with virus injected oysters and by immersion in viral suspension observing a significant decrease in paralarval survival in both experiments. An increase in the number of OsHV-1 positive animals was detected in dead paralarvae after cohabitation with virus injected oysters. No signs of viral replication were observed based on lack of viral gene expression or visualization of viral structures by transmission electron microscopy. The octopus response against OsHV-1 was evaluated by gene expression of previously reported transcripts involved in immune response in C. gigas suggesting that immune defences in octopus are also activated after exposure to OsHV-1.The amygdala-one of the primary structures of the limbic system-is comprised of interconnected nuclei situated within the temporal lobe. It has a well-established role in the modulation of negative affective states, as well as in fear processing. However, its vast projections with diverse brain regions-ranging from the cortex to the brainstem-are suggestive of its more complex involvement in affective or motivational aspects of cognitive processing. The amygdala can play an invaluable role in context-dependent associative learning, unsigned prediction error learning, influencing outcome selection, and multidimensional encoding. In this review, we delve into the amygdala's role in associative learning and outcome selection, emphasizing its intrinsic involvement in the appropriate context-dependent modulation of motivated behavior. The Context Preexposure Facilitation Effect (CPFE) is a variant of contextual fear conditioning in which learning about the context, acquiring a context-shock association, and retrieval of this association occur separately across three phases (context preexposure, immediate-shock training, and retention). We have shown that prefrontal inactivation or muscarinic-receptor antagonism prior to any phase disrupts retention test freezing during the CPFE in adolescent rats (Heroux et al., 2017; Robinson-Drummer et al., 2017). Furthermore, the medial prefrontal cortex (mPFC) is the only region in which robust learning-related expression of the immediate early genes c-Fos, Arc, Egr-1 and Npas4 is observed during immediate-shock training in the CPFE (Asok et al., 2013; Heroux et al., 2018; Schreiber et al., 2014). However, the role of prefrontal NMDA-receptor plasticity in supporting preexposure- and training-day processes of the CPFE is not known. FEN1-IN-4 in vitro Therefore, the current study examined the effects of intra-mPFC infusion of the NMDA-receptor antagonist MK-801 or saline vehicle prior to context preexposure (Experiment 1) or immediate-shock training (Experiment 2) in adolescent Long-Evans male and female rats.
