The immunohistochemistry analysis also demonstrated a significant decrease in DCX+ and BrdU+ cells; however, according to TUNEL assay, apoptosis is significantly higher in SCI-induced animals. The western blotting analysis further showed a significant reduction of the abovementioned receptors in the hippocampus. We also verified that SCI impairs the spatial memory, proved by poor performance in the Y-maze task. As well as, based on the local field potential recordings analysis, SCI decreases the power of theta rhythm. Eventually, this study demonstrated that chronic brain neurodegeneration occurs after SCI accompanied by theta rhythm and cognitive deficiency.
Traditional telepathology techniques like whole slide imaging require expensive equipment and are currently out of reach of the developing countries. However, the improvements in smartphone camera resolution and availability of faster internet have made smartphone-assisted telepathology possible.
A total of 186 cases pertaining to gynecologic pathology reported by single consultant (NT) were retrieved from the records of the histopathology department. A trained histopathologist then photographed representative areas of each case by using the smartphone camera. After a wash off period of 6 months, the images along with the clinical details were sent by Whatsapp Messenger to the same reporting pathologist. The reporting pathologist replied with the diagnosis of each case by using Whatsapp.
The smartphone diagnosis was concordant in 179/186 (96.2%) cases. The intraobserver concordance rates varied with the organ involved - it was highest for endometrial and myometrial pathology (123/126, 97.6%) lowest for ovarian lesions (08/10, 80%). For cervical pathology, it was 97.2% (35/36) and for fallopian tube pathology it was 92.9% (13/14).
Although the initial results of this pilot study are encouraging, there is a long way to go before smartphone-assisted telepathology can be put to routine use for the second opinion. More experience of the pathologists with this technique and faster internet and better smartphone cameras will further improve the concordance of smartphone-assisted telepathology diagnosis with conventional microscopy diagnosis.

In this study, we investigated the effects of previous cesarean sections on uterine artery Doppler indices.
This prospective cohort study included 153 healthy pregnant women between 18 and 24 weeks of gestation. Seventy-three pregnant women without previous cesarean sections (control group) and 80 pregnant women with previous cesarean sections (study group) were compared in terms of uterine artery Doppler indices.
The mean uterine artery pulsatility index (PI) MoM value was 1.18 ± 0.40 in the study group and 1.07 ± 0.35 in the control group (P = 0.046). The number of patients with uterine artery PI values above 95 percentile was 18 (22.5%) in the study group and 5(6.8%) in the control group (P = 0.007). The mean gestational age at birth was significantly lower in the study group (38.2 ± 1.3 vs. 39 ± 1.0, P < 0.001). There was no significant difference between the mean PI, resistance index (RI) and systolic/diastolic (S/D) ratio values of the uterine artery (P = 0.16, 0.11, 0.08, respectively). When the comparison was made with the number of previous cesarean sections, all three index values of the patients who had had more than two cesarean sections were found to be significantly higher.
The Doppler flow indices of the uterine artery significantly increased in patients with more than two previous cesarean sections. When evaluating uterine artery Doppler indices in pregnant women with a history of previous cesarean sections, these factors should be considered.

It is challenging to obtain rapid catalytic hydrolysis on a metal surface and even more so without a catalytically labile substrate. 5-Chloro-2'-deoxyuridine molecular weight Here, we report that metal nanoparticle surfaces rapidly catalyze non-redox ester hydrolysis in the presence of redox H3 N-BH3 (AB). Metal hydrides are readily generated on a Pt nanoparticle (PtNP) from AB, and as a result the PtNP becomes electron-rich, which might assist nucleophilic attack of H2 O on the carbonyl group of an ester. The nanozyme system based on PtNP, AB, and 4-aminonaphthalene-1-yl acetate provides an electrochemical signal-to-background ratio much higher than natural enzymes, due to the rapid ester hydrolysis and redox cycling involving the hydrolysis product. The nanozyme system is applied in a sensitive electrochemical immunosensor for thyroid-stimulating hormone detection. The calculated detection limit is approximately 0.3 pg mL-1 , which indicates the high sensitivity of the immunosensor using the PtNP nanozyme.Harmful emissions including particulates, volatile organic compounds, and aldehydes are generated during three-dimensional (3D) printing. Ultrafine particles are particularly important due to their ability to penetrate deep into the lung. We modeled inhalation exposure by particle size during 3D printing. A total of six thermoplastic filaments were used for printing under manufacturer's recommended conditions, and particle emissions in the size range between 10 nm and 10 μm were measured. The inhalation exposure dose including inhaled and deposited doses was estimated using a mathematical model. For all materials, the number of particles between 10 nm and 1 μm accounted for a large proportion among the released particles, with nano-sized particles being the dominant size. More than 1.3 × 109 nano-sized particles/kgbw/g (95.3 ± 104.0 ng/kgbw/g) could be inhaled, and a considerable amount was deposited in respiratory regions. The total deposited dose in terms of particle number was 3.1 × 108 particles/kgbw/g (63.
