* Sebagai seorang exorcist sangat penting bagi kita untuk mengetahui sampai mana tahap victim mengalami possession, guna memberikan penanganan yang akurat. Karena, jika salah penanganan, bisa2 kondisi victim akan semakin parah, dan mungkin bisa menyebabkan kegagalan proses exorcise yg akan berakibat fatal.
* Tahap possession:
1. Taint
Dalam bahasa Indonesia, "taint" artinya adalah "noda". Seperti artinya itu, dapat kita simpulkan dalam tahap ini victim baru terinfeksi oleh energi negatif saja baik pada fisik maupun spiritualnya.
Biasanya dalam tahap ini victim baru saja mengalami sakit fisik secara tiba-tiba, sifat yang memburuk (mood-swing), suka menyendiri. Jika dibiarkan, maka kumpulan energi negatif ini bisa memancing entitas gaib untuk mendekati victim, sehingga taint pun akan naik ke tahapan berikutnya, yaitu Succubus.
2. Succubus
* Energi negatif yg terakumulasi terus-menerus kini mulai mempengaruhi pikiran, hati dan tubuh victim, namun masih belum jadi sebuah 'entitas' dlm diri itu. Di dua tahap awal ini, victim masih bisa tertolong dengan cara mendaraskan mantra suci, ataupun dengan pemberian holy water. Jika melihat dari balik lens Camera Obscura, baru hanya terlihat aura berwarna gelap disekitar victim.
