Owners background:

Little Loves was set up and is run by 31 year old mother of 3 Danielle Brown.

Danielle has always worked closely with children, outside of raising her own daughter and two sons.

Her love for children has always been the driving force behind Danielle's work with families.

At aged 17 Danielle worked as a nursery nurse for babies and toddlers for 2 years until giving birth to her first child.

Danielle divided her time between being a mother and volunteering for youth centers, as well as reading story books to primary school children and volunteering in a children's contact center.

Her work in youth centers inspired her to further educate herself in working with children with different types of behavior. She completed many short collage courses and workshops that specified in working with children with learning and behavior difficulties.

In 2010 Danielle had her second child and just over a year later she set up a children's charity in Swindon; The Youth Life Project.

This was inspired by the 2011 riots in London. After seeing how poorly the youth was represented in the media, Danielle decided to set up a charity that would depict young people in a more positive light. Danielle would encourage youths to help locals in the community and would have media involved, in the aim to show the positive things the younger generation were doing.

The Youth Life Project grew beyond expectations and enjoyed many great achievements over the years, including many successful fundraising events, community events, a published book, family activities, youth counselling, sports groups and educational workshops. TYLP received many positive praises, extensive media cover, and was appreciated for helping other local projects and charities to survive through what was a difficult economic climate.

At the end of 2013 Danielle had her 3rd child and running the charity full time became difficult, but her love for the youth remained.

With 3 children now to take care of Danielle decided to use her skills of the events she had organised, the rapport she had built within the community and her work with children to set up an events business based around children. As well as running a party business, Danielle is still a keen fund raiser, and continues to set up fundraising events raising money for local projects and needs of the local people.

Danielle continues to volunteer and help local families in any way she can.

Little loves Events is a product of the love for children and the families who have inspired her over the years.

Little Loves is an events company that provides Pamper parties for young girls and monster/science parties for young boys.

We also sell Little Love Hampers which are gift hampers that are suited to all age ranges and genders. These are shown below. The party products we use are outlined in the pricing sectioned of this plan.

All hampers will be hand delivered to you once paid for, either within 48 hours of payment or on your specified date. You will not be charged a delivery cost as this is included in your hamper price.




Our business market:

Little Loves's target market is families.

Although our two party companies are catered to suit each sex, they are not gender specific. There have been both boys and girls attend both Little Madam's and Little Monsters parties.

The type of costumer we typically see are busy parents who are looking for someone to lift the burden of planning a child's party.

Our customers are typically based in the Swindon area but we do offer to travel outside of Swindon if required, providing travel costs are met.

Our customers choose us based on wanting something a little different. Although there are pamper parties in Swindon, they are typically run in the same manor. For example, through research we have found that most pamper parties in Swindon do not use spa products but will instead opt for make up. Little Loves believes that pamper parties should be exactly that, a pampering experience.

We like our clients to feel the benefits of a spa and being pampered as well as enjoying all the fun and excitement of a party.

Through research we have also found that there are no Swindon based businesses that hold science/monster parties, so this is already a unique party choice for parents of boys.




Market research:

Our market research has been collected by way of tester parties and acquiring feedback. We have also gathered information by asking parents as well as children what they desire from a party.

Most adults expressed that seeing their children having fun was the main priority. Whilst both children and adults said it was important for their party to be better than their/their child's friends.

'Fun' was a key word used by children and 'organised' a key word used by adults many times.

Both children and adults expressed that they'd want a party to be different or 'not the same as your average birthday party'.

Feedback through our tester events was always positive with 100% of parties resulting in at least one of the children saying that the party was the best they'd ever been to.

Adults spoke of how nice it was to relax whilst we took care of everything and all praised Little Loves and how it was run.

With both Little Madams and Little Monsters parties, staff meetings were held afterwards to decide how the parties went and if some changes should be made. Although these did not result in anything being changed, they did however result in things being added in order to fill up more time and to make parties more enjoyable as well as more unique.




Marketing strategy:

A lot of our marketing will be done via social media as we feel this is a low cost option and we feel is the best platform to showcase the service we provide.

Little Loves will have a Twitter, Facebook, Gmail and Pinterest page. These have options to advertise posts and websites.

Social media is also a good place to show images, feedback and information and for people to give comments about Little Loves Events and our parties.

We are currently building a website which will include photo galleries, a booking form and a store to purchase our pamper hampers.

We also have a Little Loves blog which is a family based blog and a Little Madams blog which is based around beauty.

Word of mouth has so far been great for Little Loves as parents and children tend to recommend us to their friends.

Business cards and flyers are important when giving out booking, pricing and contact information. We would like to include flyers inside our pamper hampers, as well as having the invitations we provide for our parties double up as flyers. For example; when we provide the parent with the invitations for their child to hand out for their party, on one side it will have the party information and on the reverse side it will have our company information. This way, if a child returns from the party and would like their parent to book one for them too, the information will be readily available on the invites given out before the party they attended.

As the owner of Little Loves holds fundraising events and volunteers at major events in the Swindon area, Little Loves will always have a wide audience and platform to advertise by way of flyers, posters etc..




Operation and logistic information:

Product safety- Our products are brought by owner and assistant and have been tried and tested. A form is given to the client beforehand asking if any of the children attending the party have any known allergies or are sensitivity to our products. A list of said products is outlined on the form.

Insurance- We do not need insurance for our premises or a food/beverage licence as we are mobile and we do not cook our own foods.

Payment methods- Little Loves will have a business account and so an option to pay via direct debit will be available, or cash of the client chooses to do so.

Transport- The Little Loves assistant drives herself and the owner to each party.






























































































































































































































The management consists purely of manager Danielle Brown and assistant Zoe Hughes with two other women who themselves work full time jobs so cannot fully commit but are willing to stand in if either myself or Zoe should for reasons beyond our control, be unable to attend a booked party. We would of course inform the client and give them the option to either change the date/time or would be happy to have a replacement member of staff at their party.
