Notes

My name is Alaina. I am the maid of the Lord William Arelos. He is a spiteful, distrusting man. The only reason he had me as a maid was because he had bought me. He lied. I was paid close to nothing, and I had to live within the walls of the mansion. I was put into a room at the highest level of the home. As I awoke, it was a normal morning. I set up the breakfast and awoke my master on time, dressed him, and made sure he looked nice. This day was important. He had an important meeting, and I'd be damned to hell and back if anything went wrong. I sighed softly, cleaning up the table after breakfast. Joseph, the only other servant at the manor, began to prepare the exquisite dinner required for our guest. He was a cook. My Lord approached me, The man was tall, light skinned, his eyes were hazel and his hair was brown. "Alaina, James. I urge that both of you wear something to please the guests. Perhaps actually dress presentable." He glanced over at me as he said that last sentence. For some reason, he favored James. Well, James has been there for him since they were both young children. James was very calm, he was fairly short compared to master, and he had somewhat tanned skin. He had messy blonde hair and brown eyes. I nodded. "Yes, sir." He nodded. "Well then? What are you waiting for, Alaina? On with your duties." I nodded once more and rushed off. I cleaned the home as I did every day. It was the evening and I walked downstairs. My red hair was normal, as it was too short to do anything with. I had only cut it since it'd be easier to work that way. My uniform was freshly pressed. I had blue eyes, which seemed nice compared to my hair. On my neck was a tattoo. The day I was purchased, I was marked. It seemed to be a black drop of water or something of the sort with a horizontal white stripe. It was the logo for my master's glass. He sold the fine china, and that's how he was so wealthy.
