Museum of Bad Arts, Massachusetts.
Museum ini didirikan oleh Scott Wilson, seorang pedagang barang-barang antik, pada tahun 1994. Awalnya Wilson menunjukkan sebuah lukisan yg telah dia perbaiki dari tempat sampah ke beberapa temannya. Teman-temannya menyarankan dia untuk mulai mengkoleksi lukisan 'buruk' tetapi terlalu sayang untuk dilupakan tersebut.
Jadi, MoBA adalah sebuah museum swasta yang bertujuan untuk menghargai kerja seniman yang karyanya tidak dihargai di forum lain. Agar karya-karya tsb dapat masuk dalam koleksi Moba's, karya harus orisinil dan memiliki niat yang serius, Karya-karyanya jg harus tdk membosankan, kurator tidak tertarik untuk menampilkan karya seni buruk dengan unsur kesengajaan.
Museum ini telah dikritik karena dinilai anti-seni, tapi pendiri menyangkal ini, katanya
"Koleksi di MoBA merupakan penghargaan untuk ketulusan dari artis yang bertahan dengan seni mereka walaupun mrk ditolak," Kini MoBA dipimpin oleh Jerry Reilly dan Marie Jackson. Karya-karya di MoBA jg sudah banyak memengaruhi gaya lukisan modern di seluruh dunia.
Museum ini punya 2 cabang, di Dedham dan Somerville (masih di kwasan Massachusetts jg). Dan pusatnya ada di Brookline. Koleksi permanen museum ini mencangkup 500 lukisan.
