Dari kecil dia gemar menolong orang dia juga berteman dengan seseorang bernama Caleb Lee atau sekarang biasa di sapa sir caleb, awalnya dia sering melihat sir caleb ini dibully oleh teman-temannya sir jevin dan sir toshio karna tidak tega sir alex selalu menolong sir caleb dan selalu ada disaat sir caleb butuh. Pertemanan mereka awet sekali hingga akhirnya mereka memutuskan bekerja di Divergent Fort Academy dan menjadi master abnegation.
