World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading
Upgrades boost the value of certain numeric stats on armor, weapons and rings. Upgrades also increase bonuses such as Crit chance and damage from PvE.
If the weapon's upgrade template is in %, the weapon will gain 3percent of its previous attack damage every time it is upgraded.
The cost of upgrading an item increases as it reaches the current level of the item. The cost increases as the level of the item increases.
upgrade gear
Upgrade components are items that can be put into weapons, armor, and trinkets in order to provide a stat bonus or extra impact while they're being used. These can be obtained by crafting, purchasing from vendors, trading with other players, or looting. Certain upgrades have unique cosmetic effects.
Upgrade components can only be used on equipment that has a slot. The item must be upgraded to blue level before a component can be applied. In contrast to other mods components can only be used once; they cannot be applied multiple times or replaced by new upgrades. Infusions and Enrichments are type of upgrade component that can be used to upgrade non-amulet legendary or ascended equipment, as well in some items that aren't ascended. Infusions and Enrichments can be obtained by salvaging ascended equipment or by completing a mission within the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.
A suffix or prefix can be added to an upgrade, changing the name of the item it's used on (for example 'Canthan Armor Insignia,' is changed to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades can increase the Mark Rarity or Level of an item, which lets players create stronger versions with the smallest amount of upgrade crystals than they need to reach the same level using normal methods.
A 'boost upgrade' can alter the defense or attack properties of a weapon, or armor. These upgrades can be made using the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene and defeats the Crazed Mechanical. These upgrades can be purchased by purchasing them from the cash shop, or by collecting them from enemies when upgrading other equipment.
Each upgrade increases the likelihood that a better-quality version of an item will be dropped at the next reset. This gives the player some incentive to continue upgrading their gear even if they're not sure of how much they'll increase after a future reset.
The boost upgrade may be successful or not, the process could be expensive, and there is a high risk that the item may be obsolete or even break when it fails. A failed upgrade will ruin the Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder as well as the upgraded item. Cash shop items can be used to decrease or eliminate the possibility of failure. Some upgrades also give an additional bonus when they are reinserted.
Glyphs
Glyphs can be used to improve the Paragon Board by placing them in special sockets. Glyphs increase the effectiveness of all nodes in the area around them as well as existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs can be upgraded in a variety of ways. We recommend upgrading them as quickly as possible to level 15.
In the final game, you will often find that the most effective way to upgrade your gear is by placing Glyphs. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded to level 15 and offer significant boosts to your power on the Paragon Board.
Glyphs, the sole upgrade component which can be removed without restriction and replaced again are the most popular. The only exception is legendary equipment, which requires the use of a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and re-place.
The value of each Glyph is displayed when you choose it in your inventory. You can replace it with another Glyph of the same rank or higher rank, which will boost the overall value of the glyph.
You can find Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of an Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain gathering tools that are unlimited-use and also through Faction Crypt raids. Each Faction Crypt has the possibility of dropping one of the many Glyphs, and there are also a few rare Glyphs that can be found in the form of drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.
After you have acquired the desired Glyphs you will require them to be placed on your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a bonus which will boost the stats of a particular set of nodes in a radius surrounding the Glyph. It could be +40 for one of your primary stats, or +25 for two of your secondary stats based on the Glyph.
The use of Glyphs Glyph will boost all the nodes that are connected to it, so you should aim to place your Glyphs close to key nodes on the Graph to maximise the impact. Druids, for instance, should place their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They may also consider placing them near their primary damage nodes.
Leveling
The item upgrading system lets players increase the stats of specific items by putting upgraded components inside them. This is referred to as "upping". Each upgradeable item has a level which determines the final statistics. Upgraded items can be leveled up to a maximum of 385. Each level requires a different number of components to reach, and the upgrade costs increase as the item is leveled up.
Certain upgrades require a specific ingredient to activate. This ingredient can be obtained by finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes are available in the upgrade tab of a crafting table or bought from NPCs. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed results in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used to level up the item. Once enough points have been earned, the upgrade can be claimed and any additional bonuses will be added to the item.
When an individual player upgrades the equipment they have the original item will be replaced by an item that is new. This means that the same piece of armor will be transformed into an weapon or shield once upgraded. The new item will come with a bonus of its own. This could be a disadvantage, as the item can be more expensive even if you do not need it.
The upgrades to items can be rerolled, if the player has enough reroll tokens to do this. This causes the item to be exchanged for a brand new one, which will come with the level 1 base, and a completely different set of bonus bonuses. This is a good idea however it shouldn't be done often as it can waste resources.
Certain upgrades can boost their value, allowing players to customize their equipment. A good example of this is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an increase in power when a player repeatedly enters and leaves the water (or is able to swim like a dolphin). It is possible to upgrade it several times, each time raising the max roll by 10 points. This item can be very valuable in PvP as the best version of it can be worth between 20 and 50x its non-upp'd value.
Requirements
The upgrader for items allows players to increase the level of their equippable equipment (armor weapons, weapons trinkets, and armor) beyond ilvl385 by handing over the appropriate currency to the NPC. The upgrade of armor set pieces will also increase the defense base of the item, and upgrading weapon items will increase the damage base and the strength and dexterity required to meet the upgraded equipment's requirements.
All items can be upgraded up to five times, with the exception for hero equipment, which is able to be upgraded eight times. Every each time you upgrade an item it is given a chance to fail--the rate of failure increases as you go over the maximum amount of upgrades. Failures will result in the item reverting to its original state, which requires the player to purchase more items than if they stopped upgrading after the maximum amount.
If an item fails to upgrade the amount of experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. The item also loses any bonuses it gained like the chance to crit, attack damage, or other effects (such as a higher healing rate over time, or the speed of reloading). The player is able to use their weapon or armor after the failure.
When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from lowest to the highest. This means that, when a weapon gains an increase in crit chance, the increase is applied prior to any increase in attack damage. Slots is a brand-new attribute that was added to item definitions. The value is calculated each time an upgrade occurs.
The amount of resources required to upgrade an item is dependent on its rarity score and the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium equipment is equal to its base value. For example an item of common use could have five upgrades for a price of. 25,600 Technology Points and a 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero grade items will come with a much lower cost for each upgrade.
Premium items might require different upgrades than normal equipment. For example they might require less sowels, however they may require more minerals and orons. Whatever the case, players will need to visit the NPC [ArmorBoboko in Central Flarine. Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they want to upgrade. enhance gear to equipment requires different amounts of upgrade ingredients in addition to the cost listed above.
