Acupuncture has been recommended for the treatment of tension-type headache (TTH). However inconsistent findings on the efficacy of acupuncture impacts on the uptake of this effective therapy for TTH. This systematic review aims to 1) Evaluate the efficacy of acupuncture for TTH; and 2) Clarify the factors contributing to conflicting findings through conducting a meta-analysis and meta-regression of randomized controlled trials.

Comprehensive literature search will be performed on PubMed, EMBASE, CINAHL, ProQuest, Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, Acubriefs, ScienceDirect, Scopus, AMED, and 4 leading Chinese databases of the China National Knowledge Infrastructure, China Science and Technology Journal Database, Wanfang Data, and CBM (SinoMed). We will include Randomized controlled Trials or controlled trials of patients with TTH that compared acupuncture with sham interventions. The primary outcome is the number of days on headache (within 4 weeks) at the end of the treatment and follow-ups.nt of clinical practice guideline on acupuncture for TTH.
By utilizing techniques of meta-regression, this study will provide evidence toward to a more focused understanding of influential factors for acupuncture in patients with TTH. But is this true for all types of linguistic P600? We report a cross-sectional source localization study of a classical (agreement) syntactic paradigm.The results show a clear localization to the temporal lobe, in classical language areas.The P600 is probably not a unitary phenomenon in term of source localization, and the question whether it localizes within or outside the language system depends on the type of P600.To determine the association between mammographic density (MD) and the risk of breast cancer (BC) in Chinese women and to investigate the role of fertility risk factors in regulating the relationship between MD and BC.We used Quantra software and the BI-RADS classification to assess MD in 466 patients and 932 controls. Conditional matched logistic multiple regression analysis was used to determine the relationship between MD and BC, and risk was evaluated with the odds ratio (OR) and 95% confidence interval (CI).The ORs for category 4 versus category 2 were 1.95 (95% confidence interval [95% CI] (1.42∼2.66)) and 1.76 (95% CI (1.28∼2.42)) for the BI-RADS and Quantra classifications, respectively. The ORs for category 5 volumetric breast density (VBD) versus category 2 VBD and 5 fibroglandular tissue volume (FGV) versus category 2 FGV were 1.63 (95% CI (1.20∼2.23)) and 1.92 (95% CI (1.40∼2.63)), respectively. Females with category 5 VBD whose age at menarche was ≤13 years had the highest risk of BC (OR = 2.16, 95% CI (1.24∼3.79)), and females with category 5 FGV whose age at menarche was = 15 years had the lowest risk of BC (OR = 1.65, 95% CI (1.05∼2.62)). Females with categories 3-5 VBD and categories 3-5 FGV had reduced risks of BC with increasing number of births. Females with category 5 VBD had an increased risk of BC with increasing age at first childbirth (the OR increased from 1.49 to 1.95). Those with category 5 VBD had a reduced risk of BC with increasing breastfeeding duration (the OR decreased from 2.08 to 1.55). Females with category 5 FGV had a reduced risk of BC with increasing breastfeeding duration (the OR decreased from 4.12 to 1.62).Both the BI-RADS density classification and Quantra measures indicated that MD is positively associated with the risk of BC in Chinese women and that associations between MD and BC risk differ by age at menarche, parity, age at first childbirth and breastfeeding duration.To compare distant visual acuity (DVA) and near visual acuity (NVA) in amblyopia and evaluate if NVA can be used to diagnose amblyopia.A retrospective study was performed on 73 patients diagnosed with amblyopia based on DVA, by measuring their NVA and comparing the DVA and NVA. The NVA was measured by Snellen chart at 30 cm and the DVA was measured by Dr Hahn vision test chart at 5m. The patients' age, type of amblyopia, spherical equivalent, the difference between spherical equivalent and the fellow eye spherical equivalent spherical, and prism diopter (PD) were evaluated and their relationship with the difference between the DVA and NVA was analyzed.The NVA was significantly better than the DVA in amblyopia (P = .000). The difference between the DVA and NVA was not significantly related to the type of amblyopia (P = .600) or the patients' age(P = .351). Proteases inhibitor Also, the difference between the DVA and NVA was not significantly affected by the spherical equivalent (P = .425) or the difference between spherical equivalent and the fellow eye spherical equivalent (P = .212) in anisometropia amblyopia, and also not by the PD (P = .882) in strabismus amblyopia.In amblyopes, the NVA was better than the DVA before amblyopia treatment. The difference between the DVA and NVA was not affected by age, type of amblyopia, spherical equivalent, the difference between spherical equivalent and the fellow eye spherical equivalent spherical, or PD. Therefore, it should be taken into consideration that NVA could underestimate the severity of amblyopia and affect the accuracy at diagnosing amblyopia.
