Pemilihan faksi ini dipengaruhi oleh 2 hal, hasil tes uji aptitude dan lahir-faksi. The Hub sendiri adalah sebuah ruangan berbentuk lingkaran konsentris dengan posisi anak yang berumur 16 tahun duduk dibarisan depan sedang keluarga duduk dibarisan belakang. Dalam The Hub, setiap faksi duduk dibagian yang berbeda(tidak dicampur).
Di dalam the hub, terdapat sebuah panggung besar dengan sebuah meja diatasnya. Diatas meja tersebut terdapat 5 mangkuk yang berisikan benda yang mewakili setiap faksi. Prosesnya adalah dengan menggoreskan sebilah pisau ditangan, kemudian meneteskan sedikit darah di mangkuk faksi yang akan dipilih. Ingat, darah yang diteteskan hanya sedikit.
