CONCLUSIONS myMemCheck® may help fast-track the diagnostic process, facilitate appropriate referrals for cognitive and neuropsychological evaluation, reduce assessment burden in health care and prevent negative outcomes associated with undetected cognitive impairment. © The Author(s) 2020. The latest-generation high-sensitivity (hs) cTn assays demonstrate both enhanced diagnostic performance and improved analytical performance, with the ability to measure detectable concentrations in a substantial proportion of the asymptomatic and presumably healthy populations. Given this unique analytical feature, recent evidence suggests that hs-cTn can be used for the stratification of CV risk in the general population. High-sensitivity cTn predicts future CV events, are responsive to preventive pharmacological or lifestyle interventions, change in parallel to risk modifications, and offer incremental risk prediction when added to well-established prognosticators. The implementation of CV risk stratification and prevention strategies incorporating hs-cTn requires further investigation to define the optimal target populations, timing of measurement, and preventive interventions. The ecological success of these free-living phototrophs suggests that they are equipped with a regulatory system competent to address many different stress situations. However, Prochlorococcus genomes are compact and streamlined, with the majority encoding only five different sigma factors, five to six two-component systems, and eight types of other transcriptional regulators. Here, we summarize the existing information about the functions of these protein regulators, about transcriptomic responses to defined stress conditions, and discuss the current knowledge about riboswitches, RNA-based regulation and the roles of certain metabolites as co-regulators. We focus on the best-studied isolate, Prochlorococcus MED4, but extend to other strains and ecotypes when appropriate, and we include some information gained from metagenomic and metatranscriptomic analyses. © FEMS 2020.BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES Black, African, and Caribbean (BAC) families are disproportionately affected by dementia but engage less with services. Studies reporting their experiences of dementia have tended to aggregate people from diverse backgrounds, without considering the impact of this diversity, or researchers' ethnicities. We investigated participants' and researchers' ethnic identities, exploring how this relates to findings. RESEARCH DESIGN AND METHODS We searched electronic databases in September 2018, for qualitative studies exploring how participants of Black ethnicity understand and experience dementia and dementia care. We reported participants' and researchers' ethnicities, and meta-synthesized qualitative findings regarding how ethnicity influences experiences and understanding of dementia. RESULTS Twenty-eight papers reported 25 studies; in United States (n = 17), United Kingdom (n = 7), and Netherlands (n = 1). 350/492 (71%) of participants were in U.S. studies and described as African Americof America.Primary cilia are microtubule-based organelles that assemble and protrude from the surface of most mammalian cells during quiescence. The biomedical relevance of cilia is indicated by disorders ascribed to cilia dysfunction, known as ciliopathies, that display distinctive features including renal cystic disease. In this report, we demonstrate that VPS39, a component of the homotypic fusion and vacuole protein sorting (HOPS) complex, acts as a negative regulator of ciliogenesis in human renal cells, by controlling the localization of the intraflagellar transport 20 (IFT20) protein at the base of cilia through autophagy. Moreover, we show that VPS39 controls ciliogenesis through autophagy also in vivo in renal tubules of Medaka fish. These observations suggest a direct involvement of the HOPS complex in the regulation of autophagy-mediated ciliogenesis and eventually in target selection. Interestingly, we show that the impact of autophagy modulation on ciliogenesis is cell-type dependent and strictly related to environmental stimuli. This report adds a further tile to the cilia-autophagy connection and suggests that VPS39 could represent a new biological target for the recovery of the cilia-related phenotypes observed in the kidneys of patients affected by ciliopathies. © The Author(s) 2020. selleck Published by Oxford University Press. SEARCH STRATEGY AND SELECTION CRITERIA A search of PubMed MEDLINE, Scopus, Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, LILACS, Web of Science, Dissertations & Theses Global, ClinicalTrials.gov registry, and the ISRCTN Registry was performed. Studies that have evaluated the amount of root resorption in non-extraction cases using CAT or PEA were selected for the systematic review. A meta-analysis was performed for the amount of root resorption of permanent maxillary incisors using PEA or CAT treatment modalities by either 2D or cone-beam computed tomography radiographic examination. DATA COLLECTION AND ANALYSIS Database research, elimination of duplicate studies, data extraction, and risk of bias were performed by authors independently and in duplication.
