Transition-metal oxides as electrocatalysts for oxygen evolution reaction (OER) provide a promising route to face the energy and environmental crisis issues. Although palmeirite oxide A 2 Mo 3 O 8 as OER catalyst has been explored, the correlation between its active sites (tetrahedral or octahedral site) and OER performance is elusive so far. Here, we present a magnetic functioned Co 2 Mo 3 O 8 @NC-800 composed of highly crystallized Co 2 Mo 3 O 8 nanosheets and ultrathin N-rich carbon layer as an efficient OER catalyst. The catalyst exhibits favorable performance with overpotential of 331 mV@10 mA cm -2 and 422 mV@40 mA cm -2 , and a full water-splitting electrolyzer with it as anode catalyst shows a cell voltage of 1.67 V@10 mA cm -2 in alkaline. Combined HAADFSTEM, magnetic and computational results show that the vital factors influencing the OER performance of the catalyst can be attributed to the tetrahedral Co sites (high spin, t 2 3 e 4 ), which improve the OER kinetics of rate-determining step to form *OOH. © 2020 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim.BACKGROUND Cultural differences in how the symptoms, causes, consequences, and treatments of dementia are understood and interpreted by South Asian people are a commonly expressed reason for late- or nonuse of mental health and care services. However, systematic collection of information on South Asian perceptions of dementia is hindered by a lack of appropriate instrumentation. OBJECTIVES To produce a shortened version of the Barts Explanatory Model Inventory for Dementia (BEMI-D) schedule. METHODS A two stage item reduction approach was employed first using multidimensional scaling categorizing items as core, intermediate, or outlier. Then, item review was undertaken using three criteria literature importance, clinical face validity, and sub-group prevalence. The analysis followed a nonmetric multidimensional scaling method based on a two-way proximity matrix. RESULTS The original BEMI-D had 197 items allocated to four checklists symptoms, causes, consequences, and treatments. The two stage item reduction approach resulted in the removal of 75 items. These reductions were achieved across all four checklists in relatively equal proportions. There was no evidence of substantive content loss in the revised schedule. The reduced version of the schedule comprises 122 items. CONCLUSIONS A condensed version of the BEMI-D is more efficient as an assessment schedule that captures the culturally diverse perceptions of memory problems for South Asians offering a balanced trade-off between feasibility of use and content validity. read more © 2020 John Wiley & Sons Ltd.BACKGROUND Childhood liver cancers are relatively rare, hence inferences on incidence trends over time are limited by lack of precision in most studies. OBJECTIVE To conduct a systematic review and meta-analysis of published contemporary trends on childhood liver cancer incidence rates worldwide. DATA SOURCES PubMed, EMBASE, CINAHL, Web of Science. STUDY SELECTION AND DATA EXTRACTION English-language peer-reviewed articles published from 1 January 2008 to 1 December 2019 that presented quantitative estimates of incidence trends for childhood liver cancer and diagnostic subgroups. Review was conducted per PRISMA guidelines. Two authors independently extracted data and critically assessed studies. SYNTHESIS Random effects meta-analysis models were used to estimate pooled incidence trends by diagnostic subgroups. Heterogeneity was measured using the Q and I2 statistics and publication bias evaluated using Egger's test. RESULTS Eighteen studies were included, all based on population-based cancer registries. Although these agents have dramatically improved the survival of patients, the appropriate sequencing and the safety during the transition between these drugs remains unknown. Recently two cases of Cytokine Release Syndrome (CRS) following transition from immune-checkpoint inhibitors to BRAF and MEK inhibitors (BRAFi/MEKi) in patients with metastatic melanoma have been reported. CRS is a systemic cytokine-driven inflammatory reaction, previously well reported in CAR T-cell therapies for hematologic malignancies. Here, we report a third case in which severe CRS resistant to glucocorticoid therapy following transition to a MEKi/BRAFi was treated successfully with tocilizumab, an IL-6 inhibitor. CRS should be on the differential diagnosis of immune related adverse events of immunotherapies or targeted cancer therapies for metastatic melanoma and clinicians in multiple disciplines should be aware of this rare complication and the potential benefits of IL-6 blockade. © AlphaMed Press 2020.ISSUE ADDRESSED The aim of this study was to determine the knowledge and behaviour of health technician students to determine their oral health (OH) status, and to evaluate the effectiveness of a structured education administered for increasing OH awareness. METHODS Interventional research was performed between December 2018 and March 2019 on 445 Vocational School of Health Services students in … University. Questionnaires were conducted under observation. The first questionnaire (Q1) included socio-demographic characteristics, OH knowledge level, attitudes and behaviours. One month after the OH training was given to the students, the same questions in Q1 were asked again in the second questionnaire (Q2). Dental caries and Simplified Oral Hygiene Index (OHI-S) status were determined by a dentist via a clinical oral examination. RESULTS Of the 445 students, 416 (93.5%) participated in the study and completed the Q1 and Q2 questionnaires. A total of 277 (66.6%) students were female and 139 (33.4%) were male, with the age range being 17-33 years (average 19.2 ± 1.86 years). Of the 416 students who answered the Q1 and Q2 questionnaires, 385 received oral examinations. While the Q1 knowledge score was 7.06 ± 2.08, the Q2 was found to be 12.36 ± 2.90 (P less then .001). It was seen that 119 (30.9%) students who had poor OHI-S and 120 (31.2%), had a mean number of decayed, missing and filled teeth (DMFT) value of 6 and above. It was found that the females had better OH values than males (P less then .001) and smokers had worse OH values overall (P less then .016). CONCLUSION It was observed that the health technician students had a low level of knowledge about OH before the training but after receiving the training, their knowledge, attitude and behaviour changed positively. SO WHAT? It was concluded that the OH education given to students caused a positive change in their behaviour, attitude and knowledge. © 2020 Australian Health Promotion Association.
