In experiment group, patients with postoperative pathological examination ki67 ≥ 3% had bigger volume and higher recurrent rate (P < 0.05).
Visualizing different orientations and 3D model of SS is conducive to the success of trans-sphenoid surgery. Pituitary adenomas can deform the SS leading to smaller volume. The volume of SS can be a factor used to predict the outcome of PAs.

With the gradual popularity of relatively novel medial sural artery perforator flap (MSAPF), robust studies are needed to compare the surgical outcomes of MSAPF versus multiple free soft flaps (MFSFs) to verify the advantages and disadvantages of MSAPF.
The authors searched PubMed, Web of Science, EMBASE, Cochrane Library, Chinese BioMedical Literature Database (CBM), and China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) until September, 2020, to identify studies that compared surgical outcomes of MSAPF and MFSFs. Two authors followed the PRISMA guidelines, individually extracted the data and performed the quality assessments. Survival rate of flaps, satisfaction degree of patients in recipient and donor site, skin grafting, and morbidity of recipient and donor site were evaluated.
A total of 441 cases from 7 studies were included in our analysis. No significant differences were found regarding survival rate of flaps, recipient morbidity, and recipient satisfaction degree between the 2 groups. However, MSAPF group was significantly superior to MFSFs group in terms of skin grafting, morbidity, and satisfaction degree of donor site.
Our meta-analysis showed that the MSPAF and MFSFs groups were similar in terms of survival rate of flaps, recipient morbidity, and recipient satisfaction degree. Medial sural artery perforator flap group was superior to MFSFs group in terms of morbidity and satisfaction degree of donor site. The results may prove that MSAPF is gaining popularity for a reason and is a good choice for repairing soft tissue defects.

The exact etiopathogenesis of this disorder is unknown due to its relatively rare occurrence. Primary sarcoidosis of the Parotid gland masquerading the peripheral changes of Chronic sialadenitis has never been reported in literature. Chlorogenic Acid concentration We report such a case of Primary Sarcoidosis of the Parotid gland presenting with non-specific chronic sialadenitis along with ipsilateral non-reducing disc displacement of the Temporomandibular joint along with its management.
Previous studies have shown negative relationships between ambient temperature and blood pressure (BP). However, few studies estimated temperature-adjusted hypertension prevalence and control rate in different population.
To estimate the effects of temperature on BP, and further calculate temperature-adjusted hypertension prevalence and control rate.
Meteorological and BP data in Guangdong Province from 2004 to 2015 were collected. There were 31 351 participants aged 18 years and over. Based on 2018 European society Arterial Hypertension Guidelines, participants were divided into normotensive patients (n = 23 046), known hypertensive patients (n = 2807), and newly detected hypertensive patients (n = 5498). We first used generalized additive model to establish the nonlinear relationship between daily mean temperature and BP, and then calculated the linear effects of temperature on BP among populations with different hypertension status. Finally, we calculated the temperature-adjusted hypertension prevaletemperature increased BP for all populations, especially for known hypertensive patients, which makes hypertension prevalence increase and control rate decrease if temperature reduce. Our findings suggest that temperature should be considered in hypertension clinic management and epidemiological survey.
We taught parents to use at home a hand-held Doppler device and aneroid sphygmomanometer for SBPmeasurement (HDBPM).
Retrospective study including all children referred to evaluate hypertension over a 6-year period. Each child underwent HDBPM measurements performed by parents while awake over 2 weeks with three measurements performed twice daily.
Of n = 155 children, 145 (93.5%) were successful and aged median (interquartile range) 2.48 (1.01, 5.12) years, including 85 boys. Overall, there were 25, 19, 30 and 26% aged less than 1, 1 to less than 2, 2 to less than 5 and at least 5 years old, respectively. Seventy-eight (54%) had been referred for confirming diagnosis and 67 (46%) for ongoing monitoring of treated hypertension. Following HDBPM, 70 of 78 (90%) patients in the 'Diagnosis subgroup' were observed to have normal blood pressure (BP). In the monitoring subgroup, treated hypertension that required no medication changes was recorded in 35 of 67 (52%) and medication changed in 32 of 67 (48%), [incrulatory BP monitoring for both the diagnosis and ongoing management of clinically relevant hypertension.
To describe the management and outcome of an ocular surface alkali burn in the setting of previous laser in situ keratomileusis (LASIK).
This is a case report and review of relevant literature.
A 25-year-old man with a history of LASIK presented 4 weeks after a sodium hydroxide splash to his left eye with visual acuity of 20/60 and a nonhealing epithelial defect adjacent to sectoral inferior limbal ischemia in the setting of trichiasis from upper eyelid cicatricial entropion. After topical corticosteroids were discontinued following the repair of the entropion, the patient returned 3 days later with worsening vision and severe diffuse lamellar keratitis with the melting of the LASIK flap. After promptly lifting the flap and debriding the interface, inflammation was managed with oral, instead of topical, corticosteroids. Over several weeks, the epithelium healed, and inflammation and interface edema resolved. At 10 years of follow-up, the patient had developed a localized pseudopterygium with mild corneal neovascularization but maintained 20/20 uncorrected visual acuity.
