The synthesis of Drac-AgNPs is confirmed by UV-vis spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy, and transmission electron microscopy, where Drac-AgNPs are spherical, with a size range of 5-63 nm. Their IC50 values against H1299 and MCF-7 cell lines are above 50 and 100 μg mL-1, respectively. Drac-AgNPs are effective against an inclusive range of the gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, that is, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus subtilis, Escherichia coli, Serratia marcescens, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and a low hemolytic effect makes them an exceptional AgNP with a great hemocompatibility. They show a moderate catalytic-effect in terms of removing methylene blue, with 67% degradation. Altogether, Drac-AgNP, as a multi-tasker material, shows potential for the prevention and treatment of infections and photothermal/chemotherapy of cancers.Consumption of energy is a determinant of the socioeconomic status of many citizens across the globe. Existing data on the factors affecting fuel switching in rural India are insufficient to analyze a behavioral change among families. This paper evaluates the influence of four variables income, education, cost of fuel, and clean fuel supply on fuel adoption decisions. To understand the study population's behavioral change, a Household Survey is conducted in 20 villages (in India's rural district). Along with field observation, data are also collected on energy usage at the household level using a formal questionnaire. We searched for the following terms 'intraoperative,' 'ultrasonography,' 'gynecology' and 'oncology' using Pubmed/Medline. IOUS can minimize complications and facilitate difficult benign gynecological procedures. There is also a role for its use in gynecological oncology surgery and fertility-sparing surgery. The use of IOUS in gynecological surgery is an emerging field which improves visualization in the surgical field and aids completion of minimally invasive techniques.

To evaluate associations between survival and glycemic control in age-matched patients with endometrial or ovarian cancer, with/without diabetes mellitus (DM).

Patients with newly diagnosed ovarian or endometrial cancer with and without DM were compared.

The study included 84 patients with ovarian cancer (28, DM); 96 with endometrial cancer (48 with, 48 without DM). DM patients did not have worse overall or progression-free survival than non-DM patients. Glycemic control was not associated with either cancer.

There was no association between DM and survival for patients with uterine or ovarian cancer. In addition, there was no association between uterine and ovarian cancer and glycemic control. Additional studies to confirm these observations in larger populations are required.

To describe the relationship between cesarean skin incision type and postoperative wound complications (WCs) in obese pregnant patients.

MEDLINE (PubMed andOVID), Embase, Scopus, Web of Science Core Collection, Cochrane Libraryand ClinicalTrials.gov databases were used for publication search. Selection criteria consisted of articles studying pregnant patients with BMI ≥30kg/m
undergoing cesarean delivery and assessing the effect of skin incision type on postoperative maternal outcomes.

Ten publications met criteria for a systematic review of a total of 2946 patients. The transverse skin incision was associated with a lower rate of WC compared with the vertical skin incision. The pooled riskratio for WCs was 0.47 (95% CI 0.37-0.58; p<0.00001).

Transverse skin incision may be preferable to vertical skin incision at cesarean delivery in pregnant patients with obesity as it may be associated with a lower rate of WCs.
