Concerning its genetic classification, Simplomeris is part of the Glomeris klugii Brandt, 1833 species group, and is especially closely related to high-altitude endemic species found in the southwestern and Bergamasque Alps, including G. primordialis Verhoeff, 1930, G. transalpina Koch, 1836, and G. oropensis Verhoeff, 1934. The genetic barcoding data provides conclusive evidence for the three color morphs of S. montivaga, including the specific variation S. montivaga var. On July 1, 2016, Pierre Deviche collected the holotype of *A. paulsoni*, a newly described species, from Bog Tank, north of Highway 260, in Apache County, Arizona. This specimen (located at coordinates: 34°04'67"N, 109°68'3"W, 1400m elevation) is part of the CSCA collection. The holotype, collected on July 5, 2019, by William A. Haber, is housed at the University of New Hampshire (UNH) and originates from a location 700 meters above sea level, 75 kilometers northeast of Londres, Costa Rica, near Rancho Tinamu Lodge (94856N, 839911W). The provided redescriptions apply to the male and female phenotypes of the following Argia species: Argia calida (Hagen, 1861), A. chelata Calvert, 1902, A. deami Calvert, 1902, A. fulgida Navas, 1934, A. herberti Calvert, 1902, A. johannella Calvert, 1907, A. mayi Gonzalez-Soriano, 2012, A. percellulata Calvert, 1902, A. pocomana Calvert, 1907, A. rogersi Calvert, 1902, A. talamanca Calvert, 1907, A. terira Calvert, 1907, A. underwoodi Calvert, 1907, and A. variabilis Selys, 1865. The process of measurement, illustration, and differentiation from congeners is applied to all 73 species. A review of type material indicates that A. wilsoni Calvert, 1902 is a junior synonym of A. calida (Hagen, 1861), A. plana Calvert, 1902 is a junior synonym of A. funebris (Hagen, 1861), and A. trifoliata Fraser, 1942 (Fig. 736) is a junior synonym of A. variegata Forster, 1914. In the case of *Agrion calidum* Hagen, 1861, *Agrion funebris* Hagen, 1861, and *Argia variabilis* Selys, 1865, the designations of lectotypes have been made. An analysis of over 16,000 specimens has led to the production of distribution maps and identification keys for the 73 recognized Argia species within Mexico, Central America, and the Lesser Antilles.

A thorough survey of Equatorial Guinea's reptile species yields a catalogue of 118 species belonging to 67 genera and 22 families. Of the reptilian world, two Crocodylia, ten Testudines, and a diverse 106 Squamata exist; specifically, this Squamata includes 62 species of snakes, two amphisbaenians, and a further 42 lizard species. Considering the 118 species, seven are found solely on Annobon, seven are specific to Bioko, 47 are limited to Rio Muni, 53 are observed in both Bioko and Rio Muni (alongside other islands), and four of the species are sea turtles. Notwithstanding the high biodiversity on Bioko, its rate of endemism is relatively low, with four species uniquely found on the island among the reported sixty species. On the other hand, in spite of its low species diversity, Annobon has the extraordinary level of endemic species, consisting of five (and two introduced). No endemic species are recognized within the remaining regions of Equatorial Guinea, which house 100 species. Noting some pending taxonomic problems, we illustrate several novel country and species records. Newly recorded, Cyclanorbis elegans exemplifies the most southerly known population of the genus. The anticipated expansion of field and taxonomic work in Equatorial Guinea will likely result in the identification of further species.
