Origin of the Detective Agency: Untold Story.
Prelude: Basically this is only a summarize the third novel of Bungou Stray Dogs focusing on Fukuzawa and Ranpo's past. My dear friend from Japan; Rei-san (@ranpo_rei) had wrote this summary for me (in Japanese), so I just translating it. This is only a summary, not a whole story taken from the novel. I know a person still translating the thrid novel on tumblr and I'm so excited! I can't wait to read the English version of it. By the way, sorry for grammatical error; English is not my first language. Okay, let's start!

At those time, Fukuzawa is 30 years old and teenage boy Ranpo is 14 years old. Fukuzawa work as bodyguard for a CEO from a certain company.

One day, Fukuzawa find out that his boss was dead and he suspected the death wasn't normal. It was a murder. Later, he talk to his late boss's secretary, asking for permission to solve and find out the murderer. On his way to uncover the truth, Fukuzawa meet a young boy named Edogawa Ranpo, he also get an order from the secretary to solve this case. At first Fukuzawa doesn't give a damn about Ranpo's action and give all the attention to the case. But, somewhat Ranpo had lead him to find the culprit, they works together and catch the murderer; the secretary itself. The secretary give a stack of documents to Ranpo and said, "Please find the real culprit with this documents! I know you can get some hint from it!" A few seconds after he take a glance to the paper, Ranpo talk to the secretary, "What are you talking about? You are the culprit, how foolish." Ranpo pick some of paper and state it as the evidence. Fukuzawa, first time witnessed Ranpo's Chousuiri; he was shocked. The secretary tried to run away, but thanks to Fukuzawa, the secretary unable to do so and end his/her own life (There's no gender pronoun used for the secretary and yes, he/she perform a suicide in front of Fukuzawa and Ranpo). Later, because Fukuzawa already gained a trust from police; they release both him and Ranpo and the case is closed. Ranpo, doesn't know where to go, he just following Fukuzawa.

Fukuzawa stop at certain cafe and take Ranpo with him. They order some food and Ranpo didn't finished his food (I believe it was a 'mochi') saying that mochi wasn't a sweets.

Somewhat Fukuzawa can't leave Ranpo, thus he bring Ranpo to his next job to the theater (In this time Fukuzawa already interested with Ranpo's chousuiri). The main actor of the play that ongoing in the theater had died and once again it was a murder. Later, Fukuzawa gathers all the player and start to hear their opinion about the play; all of them praise the play they did. In the middle of investigating, Ranpo quickly give his thought and said "I don't get how the adults think. This is a country of beast, along with them, I am the only one human who live inside this land." (Actually, it simply that Ranpo has different way of thinking, against the normal way of the other people.)

After that, Fukuzawa take a break time, walking to the outside of the house, as usual, Ranpo also following him. At the outside, to erase Ranpo's loneliness, Fukuzawa says "All the adults are idiot. More stupid than you. Escpecially them whom talked that you're non-ability user (in this term, actually they said that Ranpo is only a brat whom does't have a previlage to do an invistigation and perform a deduction. Contrast with Ranpo who believes that he is a special human; having such a great ability to deduce and solve a case. The term 'ability user' hadn't used in this time)." Ranpo is smiling upon hearing those words. The next thing than happens is Fukuzawa give a glasess (yes the one and only) to Ranpo and says "This is a /switch/ to activate your ability." With this, Ranpo once again regain his confidence and replies, "I'll stop this madness (the murder case)! Fukuzawa-san just wait and see; like an audience." Then he disappear to nowhere.

Fukuzawa then return to the house and watch the play. Another murder happenned! One of actor had been stabbed and he was unconscious, quickly he get into an ambulance to go to teh hospital. The play was stopped, but none of actors or audience could left the house. In other side, Fukuzawa begin to search Ranpo. He successfully found Ranpo with a woman that Ranpo said she was the culprit. In front of Fukuzawa, Ranpo perform his deduction and once again he was speechless in amazement of Ranpo's ability. The case was over.

Some time later, Ranpo had found a few evidence that lead him to another possibilities of this case. There's the real culprit behind this case and Ranpo went to catch him. It's hard to catch the culprit so Ranpo pretend to be a decoy, try to get their attention before catch the real culprit.

Fukuzawa found a message written by Ranpo about his plan to become a decoy. Without hesitated, Fukuzawa also went out and searched for Ranpo's whereabouts. He found him at the certain place, it seems the culprit had took the advantage and about to crush Ranpo. Fukuzawa had arrived in the right timing, he fought back and beat the culprit. Ranpo was so overjoyed, he believed that Fukuzawa would noticed his message and come to save him. The case is over, this time is for real. But, Fukuzawa being Fukuzawa, he at one side happy that the case already solved, but he can't bear the fact that a several minutes ago Ranpo's life was in danger. Thus, out of his temperance, Fukuzawa hit Ranpo's face. Doesn't know what is his fault, Ranpo just standing still.

Later, many of thoughts appear on his head and for the first time Ranpo acknowledge Fukuzawa's kindness. Ranpo then said "I'm sorry." And he started to cry while touching his reddened cheek (the one that Fukuzawa hit). After all, Ranpo is still a child who needs a protection, or so how Fukuzawa thought.

Since that time, Ranpo admire and respect Fukuzawa. Thus from this time, they begin to work together.

There's still one problem, about Ranpo's ability which not classified as an ability. Fukuzawa doesn't want Ranpo get another harassment about him being powerless, he then looks for any way to prevent that. Fukuzawa want to create a group or an organization for Ranpo to spread his talent. A year later, Fukuzuwa begin to create a detective agency with Ranpo as the detective. He named those agency Armed Detective Agency. The term 'armed' actually come from himself from the word 'to protect'. He will always be in Ranpo's side, act as his protector; his guardian; his bodyguard, and will beat anyone whom want to hurt Ranpo because of his deduction ability (chousuiri). Thus, Fukuzawa become the first member of Armed Detective Agency (with Ranpo as the main purpose; the reason that Fukuzawa create this agency).

Afterwards, a request to search a certain person is come. After gathering all the informations, both Fukuzawa and Ranpo reach at one conclusion. This person they looked for was the one whom created all those past cases; he was the brain behind those nasty cases. His name was Souseki Natsume. Then another reason to build and spreading Armed Detective Agency had been discovered. To find Souseki Natsume's ability and his whereabouts.

Yeaaah! It's done! That's the summary of the third novel of Bungou Stray Dogs, focusing at Fukuzawa and Ranpo's past.
TLDR;
a. Fukuzawa found Ranpo and he began to follow Fukuzawa wherever he went.
b. Fukuzawa is the only adult and person whom acknowledge Ranpo's ability, cares about him and want to protect him.
