haviours to better live with two chronic illnesses.Combination therapy for toxoplasmosis consists of sulfadiazine, pyrimethamine and leucovorin. Although sulfadiazine can cause hypersensitivity reactions, such as fever, rash and liver dysfunction, there is no consensus on an effective therapy for congenital toxoplasmosis (CTox) without sulfadiazine. We attempted desensitization to sulfadiazine in 2 patients with CTox and sulfadiazine hypersensitivity. Desensitization was achieved for 1 patient. To evaluate the perfusion of coronary circulation and its related factors and the difference in the peak filling times in aortic sinus and coronary sinus by coronary computed tomography angiography (CCTA).From January 1 to August 1, 2018, 61 outpatients with angina pectoris were recruited, completed a questionnaire about risk factors and underwent CCTA, which was also used to assess the stenosis of different coronary artery segments. The duration of circulation was 9.50 ± 2.43 seconds in patients with flat T wave, which was shorter than the duration in normal subjects (P = .021). However, other cardiovascular risk factors showed no effect on the duration of circulation. In addition, the duration of circulation was closely related to the peak filling time of coronary sinus [r(s) = 0.681]. We further divided the circulation time difference (delta) values into 3 levels ( less then 6, 6-12, and ≥12 seconds). It showed that the circulation duration (Y) was associated withTherefore, the cardiac circulation duration was negatively related to the degree of stenosis in the 1 diagonal and proximal LCA.It compensates for the inability of CCTA to assess circulation at rest simply by determining the peak filling time in the aortic sinus and the coronary sinus. Moderate cardiac microcirculation duration was related to a low incidence of clinical symptoms and electrocardiogram disorders, which was determined mainly by the diagonal and left circumflex branch 1 of LCA.Although outcomes for patients with high-risk neuroblastoma improved after the addition of a chimeric anti-GD2 monoclonal antibody (dinutuximab) as treatment for minimal residual disease, nearly half of these patients die of disease. Recent studies demonstrated efficacy of the combination of chemotherapy with anti-GD2 mAb in patients with relapsed or newly diagnosed disease. check details This retrospective case series describes 6 patients treated at St Jude Children's Research Hospital with an induction regimen containing dinutuximab and chemotherapy, followed by consolidation and postconsolidation therapy. The treatment was well tolerated with expected toxicities. All patients completed induction therapy and demonstrated a clinical response. Further studies are warranted.
Many studies regarding nursing student's first experience of facing the death of a patient have focused on classroom methods or exploring attitudes towards death and related fears or anxieties. This review is the first to identify the mechanisms that facilitate practice learning as a result of students' first time experience of handling a patient's death.

A realist review as a form of a systematic review of the literature.

The literature search focused on the earliest death experience of baccalaureate nursing students and end-of-life care, using databases MEDLINE, CINAHL, SCOPUS, ERIC, PSYCINFO.

Three research questions were addressed following a five-step process of (1) defining the scope of review and developing a theoretical framework, (2) conducting a theory-driven purposive search for evidence, (3) appraising evidence and extracting data, (4) synthesizing data and drawing conclusions, and (5) disseminating findings; with iterative expert consultation and discussion to answer the five questions ofc indicators should be developed to track and guarantee and the optimal achievement of required competencies.Research has indicated that the taking and viewing of idealized selfies can result in negative body image outcomes. Given the negative consequences associated with selfie activities, it is important to explore factors that relate to idealized self-presentation on social media. Combining insights of sociocultural, social comparison, and objectification theory, we distinguished and examined four different pathways linking appearance media exposure to selfie-behavior (i.e., selfie taking/posting and selfie-investment and manipulation) via internalization and social media comparison. Additionally, we examined the protective role of positive peer body talk. A sample of 949 Belgian adolescents aged 14-18 (Mage = 15.45, SD = 1.37) participated in an online survey. Structural equation analyses showed that appearance-related media exposure was positively related to selfie-taking and -posting via internalization and social media comparison. Both internalization and social media comparison were positively related to selfie manipulation and selfie-investment. Additionally, results indicated a protective role of positive peer body talk against thin/athletic-ideal internalization. For adolescents who engaged in more positive body talk, watching appearance-related media content resulted in less thin/athletic-ideal internalization. Overall, the findings emphasize the crucial role of peers -and more specifically peer validation -in reinforcing and criticizing dominant appearance ideals and shaping the way adolescents present themselves online.
Quassia amara L. recently came into the spotlight in French Guiana, when it became the object of a biopiracy claim. Due to the numerous use records throughout the Guiana shield, at least since the 18th century, a thorough investigation of its origin seemed relevant and timely. In the light of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) and the Nagoya protocol, questions about the origin of local knowledge are important to debate.

Defining cultural biogeography as the dynamics through space and time of biocultural complexes, we used this theoretical framework to shed light on the complex biogeographical and cultural history of Q. amara. We explored in particular the possible transfer of medicinal knowledge on an Old World species to a botanically related New World one by enslaved Africans in Suriname.

Historical and contemporary literature research was performed by means of digitized manuscripts, archives and databases from the 17th to the 21st century. We retrieved data from digitized herbarium vouchers in herbaria of the Botanic Garden Meise (Belgium); Naturalis Biodiversity Center (the Netherlands); Missouri Botanical Garden, the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History, the Field Museum (USA); Royal Botanic Gardens Kew (UK); the IRD Herbarium, French Guiana and the Museum National d'Histoire Naturelle (France).
