Rasi bintang Andromeda
Andromeda, (: /ˌanˈdrɒmədə/) adalah rasi bintang yang melambangkan putri Andromeda. Terletak di langit utara dekat dengan Pegasus. Rasi ini cukup panjang dan membentuk huruf "A".
Memiliki nama(sebutan) yang berbeda di beberapa negara. Contohnya, Arab; 'Al Marʼah al Musalsalah' dengan arti 'Perawan yang Dirantai'. Atau, Latin; 'Persea' dengan arti 'Pasangan Perseus'.
Berikut adalah bintang-bintang yang membentuk rasi Andromeda :
α And (Alpheratz / Sirrah) adalah bintang paling terang di rasi ini. Bintang ini adalah bintang ganda dengan magnitudo semu 2.06m. Bintang ini berjarak 200 tahun cahaya dan bermagnitudo 2.1m.
γ And (Almach) terletak pada ujung selatan dari huruf "A". Merupakan bintang ganda dengan warna yang mencolok.
δ And (Sadiradra) adalah bintang dengan magnitudo 3.
ι And membentuk asterisma "Frederik's Glory" bersama dengan κ And, λ And, dan ψ And, yang dinamai berdasarkan rasi Frederici Honores.
υ And: memiliki sistem planet dengan tiga planet, masing-masing 0.71 kali, 2.11 kali, dan 4.61 kali lipat massa Jupiter.
ξ And (Adhil) adalah sebuah bintang ganda.
n And (33 And) merupakan bekas nama dari M31, Galaksi Andromeda.
51 And pernah dimasukan oleh Johann Bayer ke rasi Perseus dengan nama "Upsilon Persei (υ Per)", tetapi dikembalikan ke Andromeda oleh International Astronomical Union.
54 And: bekas nama dari φ Per.
