<p style="text-align: center;">In the beginning, art arose from the tribe, as an invocation for continuity, based on shared faith, ideas, and commitment. Above all, art was grounded in physical presence. Today, however, in the digital age, this is no longer the case.</p>
FOOK! arose from a recognition that the next wave of creative expression would not be localized in any one place, but the “scene” would be international, growing out of the ubiquity of the internet, where we can be countless places at once and personal identity constantly shifts across a binary matrix.

In 2013, I founded FOOK! as a closed group on Facebook to see what was out there beyond the insurmountable fortresses of the established arts. The FOOK! page was and continues to be a place where artists, writers, filmmakers and musicians from across the world share ideas, find common ground, and create true expression out of the disparate and complex social and cultural filaments of the early 21st century.
