The systematic review was designed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of Qishen Yiqi dropping pill combined with conventional Western medicine in the treatment of chronic heart failure (CHF).
Relevant randomized controlled trials (RCTs) investigating the clinical efficacy of Qishen Yiqi dropping pill combined with conventional Western medicine in treating CHF were widely searched in electronic databases, including PubMed, Cochrane Library, EMBASE, CBM, CNKI, Read-show database, VIP database, and WanFang up to December 26, 2020. The methodological quality of each trial was assessed according to the Cochrane Reviewers' Handbook 5.0. Meta-analysis was performed by using Review Manager 5.3.
Twenty-one RCTs (
= 2162) that met the criteria were included in the review for the assessment of methodological quality. Meta-analysis showed that compared with the conventional Western medicine (control group), Qishen Yiqi dropping pill combined with conventional Western medicine (experience group) significantly improved clinical efficiency, left ventricular end-diastolic diameter (LVEDD), left ventricular end-systolic diameter (LVESD), left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), brain natriuretic peptide level (BNP), 6 min-walk distance (6-MWD), and adverse reactions.
Qishen Yiqi dropping pill combined with conventional Western medicine are better than conventional Western medicine alone to improve the indicators of patients with CHF, which provides a certain basis for the treatment of CHF.

Schrad and has been traditionally used for the treatment of diseases in the skin, eyes, and urinary tract for thousands of years in China. Recent studies have showed its anti-inflammatory, antifungal, antiallergic, and antipruritogenic effects to clarify the mechanisms of these actions. Meanwhile, its other effects, such as anticancer, hypoglycemic, and hepatoprotective effects, also have been reported. The achievement of these therapeutic effects is contributed by its chemical constituents. A total of 153 compounds have been identified in KF, mainly including triterpenoids, flavonoids, carbohydrates, amino acids, organic acids, and essential oils. Momordin Ic is the representative triterpene glycoside compound, which is used as a phytochemical marker for the quality control of Kochiae Fructus. The research on toxicity is insufficient, and only one article reported that the LD50 was 7.15 ± 0.03 g/kg for water extract of KF after oral administration in KM mice. PDGFR inhibitor In addition, the pharmacokinetic study was carried out on momordin Ic with linear pharmacokinetic characteristics. Above all, this review provides comprehensive information about Kochiae Fructus and may provide the theoretic foundation of its clinical application and further development.
To compare the efficiency of transcutaneous electrical acupoint stimulation (TEAS) with those of conventional and TCM herb on bone marrow suppression in small cell lung cancer (SCLC) patients after initial chemotherapy.
We recruited 139 participants with pathologically confirmed SCLC who had not received chemotherapy. The conventional group (
= 37) received gemcitabine and cisplatin chemotherapy and routine care. The TCM herb group (
= 35) received 3 Diyushengbai tablets thrice a day for one day prior to chemotherapy and maintained during the trial. The TEAS group (
= 42) received TEAS at a frequency of 65-100 Hz with a pulse width of 100-200
sec. Acupoints were selected from Dazhui (DU14), Geshu (BL17), Zusanli (ST36), Sanyinjiao (SP6), and Hegu (LI4) and were treated on days 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 14, 21, and 28 of chemotherapy for 30 min each day. All three groups underwent a 28-day treatment for a total of one treatment course. Changes in the white blood cell, neutrophil, platelet, and hemoglobin indi modality for improving bone marrow suppression in SCLC patients after initial chemotherapy. TEAS improved comfort levels more effectively than did conventional and TCM herb.
TEAS is an effective and safe treatment modality for improving bone marrow suppression in SCLC patients after initial chemotherapy. TEAS improved comfort levels more effectively than did conventional and TCM herb. Objective The presence of a normal fetus with normal karyotype accompanied by molar changes in the placenta is a rare condition, which carries a significant risk to the mother and fetus. There is a controversy regarding the proper management of this condition. Here, we present the case of a singleton pregnancy that showed molar changes in the pathological study of the placenta, but ended up with a normal viable neonate. Case Report A 23-year-old primigravida woman, with a 3-year history of infertility, presented with vaginal bleeding and spotting. Her ß-human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) at 13th week was 36500 mIU/ml. Serial sonography assessments were suggestive for molar changes and a normal fetus with growth retardation but normal Doppler assessment. The patient underwent elective Cesarean section at 37 weeks gestation and a healthy female neonate with an Apgar score of 9-10, weighing 2270 g was born. Pathological assessment of the placenta confirmed the diagnosis of incomplete hydatidiform mole. After two months, the mother had no complications, her ß-HCG level was untraceable, and the infant was in good condition. Conclusion Despite being a rare condition, partial moles can be accompanied by delivery of a normal fetus. The management of this condition still remains challenging and should be done under close monitoring with extreme caution. Objective To determine if the elimination of fragments in cleavage-stage embryos, before fresh transfer, improves pregnancy rates in in vitro fertilization cycles. Materials and methods This is a Prospective observational case-control study carried out at a University Reproductive Center. We included Twenty-six infertile patients divided into two groups. Group one 13 patients with embryos classified as grade B and C (embryos with fragments) according to the Hill classification, and Group two 13 patients with grade A embryos (embryos with no fragments). Embryo Defragmentation was performed in embryos of group one 65 to 68 hours after conventional fertilization. Fresh embryo transfer was made after two hours post fragments removal. Reproductive results were evaluated and compared between both groups. Results The total number of clinical pregnancies was nine. In group one there were 5 (38.5 %); in group two, there were 4 (30.8%). The difference was not statistically significant (p = 0.68). Two abortions were reported in the study, both in group one; were fragment elimination was performed.
