Jika murid mencapai usia orang tua, maka harus menjadi factionless, atau memilih untuk mati, karena dauntless tidak menerima orang tua.
Dauntless melatih diri dengan tangan kosong / menggunakan senjata, untuk melindungi diri dari ancaman dan juga tantangan.
Pekerjaan dauntless = pasukan keamanan kota, seniman tato, pembuat senjata, menjadi pelatih, dan menjadi pemimpin dauntless.
Kaum Dauntless dapat dikenali dengan penampilan luarnya :
-Warna pakaian = hitam dan kombinasi merah tua
-Tato dan tindikan
-Senjata di tangan
-Gaya rambut yang unik dan mencolok
-Menggunakan sepatu boots / sport
Kaum wanita, biasanya menyukai make up berbau 'gothic'.Seorang Dauntless harus pantang menyerah, tak gentar, memiliki keteguhan, tegas, serta tidak ciut saat menghadapi kesulitan dan bahaya.
