001) but this increase was visibly greater in the HLEPG (from 23.47 ± 7.48 to 35.60 ± 5.95) than in the CEG (from 22.93 ± 5.93 to 27.6 ± 4.90). The healthy lifestyle empowerment program also significantly increased the mean score of adherence to health-promoting behaviors in the HLEPG (p ≤ 0.001), whereas no such change was observed in the CEG. The results of the linear mixed model showed that the follow-up scores health-related quality of life and adherence to health-promoting behaviors of the HLEPG were 27.26 and 7.56 units significantly greater than the CEG after HLEP, respectively (p < 0.001).
Considering the results of this study, health care providers are recommended to devise and implement healthy lifestyle empowerment programs to improve the health-related quality of life of coronary artery bypass surgery patients.

Registered at Iranian Registry of Clinical Trials (IRCT20171213037860N1).Our previous study showed remarkable differences in the effect of R-sulforaphane (R-SFN) on the expression of CYPs 19, 1A1, 1A2, and 1B1 in ER(+) MCF7, ER( -) MDA-MB-231, and non-tumorigenic immortalized MCF10A (8). This study aimed to evaluate the effect of R-SFN on phase II enzymes induction and expression of AhR, Nrf2, and ERα in the same breast cell lines. The results showed increased expression of GSTP as a result of treatment with R-SFN in breast cancer cells. An increased NQO1 transcript and protein levels were found in all breast cells, with the most significant increase in MCF7 cells. Similarly, the enhancement of Nrf2 expression was noticed in all tested cells. AhR gene transcript and protein were decreased in MCF7 cells. In MDA-MB-231, increased AhR mRNA was not confirmed at the protein level. No differences were found in the expression of ERα. Overall, the results of the present study extended our earlier suggestions on the possible interference of R-SFN with estrogens homeostasis in breast cancer cells differing in ERα status, as well as in non-tumorigenic immortalized breast epithelial cells. While some of R-SFN effects might be beneficial and useful in breast cancer prevention, the others, particularly GSTP induction, may lead to adverse effects. The recent exposure of novel coronavirus strain, severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS-CoV-2) has spread to different countries at an alarming rate. Faster transmission rate and genetic modifications have provoked scientists to search for an immediate solution. With an increasing death rate, it becomes important to throw some light on the life cycle of the virus and its associated pathogenesis in the form of lung inflammation through cytokine storm (CS) production. This paper highlights the different stages of viral-mediated inflammatory responses in the host respiratory system. Previously, known anti-inflammatory drugs and therapeutic strategies that might show potential in controlling the CS of Coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) is also mentioned in this study. Our critical analysis provides insights into the inflammation cycle induced in the lungs by early virus replication, downregulation and shedding of angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2), and in the CS production. Identification of suitable targets within the inflammatory pathways for devising the therapeutic strategies useful in controlling the prognosis of COVID-19 finds a special mention in this article. However, antibody-dependent enhancement is the key aspect to consider before testing any drug/compound for therapeutic purposes. Our in-depth analysis would provide similarities and differences between the inflammatory responses induced by SARS-CoV and SARS-CoV-2, providing an excellent avenue to further look at how earlier outbreaks of coronaviruses were controlled and where new steps are required? The cell nucleus stores the genetic material essential for life, and provides the environment for transcription, maintenance, and replication of the genome. Moreover, the nucleoplasm is filled with subnuclear bodies such as nucleoli that are responsible for other vital functions. Overall, the nucleus presents a highly heterogeneous and dynamic environment with diverse functionality. Here, we propose that its biophysical complexity can be organized around three inter-related and interactive facets heterogeneity, activity, and rheology. Most nuclear constituents are sites of active, ATP-dependent processes and are thus inherently dynamic The genome undergoes constant rearrangement, the nuclear envelope flickers and fluctuates, nucleoli migrate and coalesce, and many of these events are mediated by nucleoplasmic flows and interactions. And yet there is spatiotemporal organization in terms of hierarchical structure of the genome, its coherently moving regions and membrane-less compartmentalization via phase-separated nucleoplasmic constituents. Moreover, the non-equilibrium or activity-driven nature of the nucleus gives rise to emergent rheology and material properties that impact all cellular processes via the central dogma of molecular biology. read more New biophysical insights into the cell nucleus can come from appreciating this rich inner life.
The purpose of this article was to study the characteristics of pediatric meningiomas, including the clinical symptom, anatomic location, radiological finding, treatment approaches, and long-term surgical outcome as well as the possible influence factors of the prognosis.
We retrospectively reviewed the medical records and follow-up data of 39 pediatric patients who were treated by operation for intracranial meningiomas in West-China Hospital between 2009-2019.
The incidence of pediatric meningioma was 0.74%. The mean age at surgery was 12.2years and the ratio of male to female was 1.3. Three cases (7.7%) were related to neurofibromas. WHO grade I was found in 26 patients (66.7%) and higher grades was seen in 13 (33.3%). The most common location sites were convexity (35.9%). Gross total excision was achieved in 28 patients (71.8%). The mean follow-up period was 54.4months. The recurrence rate was 41.9%. By survival analysis, only gross total resection (p = 0.028) was associated with favorable outcome.
Meningiomas in children are very rare and have a slight male predominance.
