Pencak silat secara umum adalah merupakan metode bela diri yang diciptakan untuk mempertahankan diri dari bahaya yang dapat mengancam keselamatan dan kelangsungan hidup. Kalo menurut saya keunggulan dari pencak silat ini bela diri yang unik karena ia menggunakan tenaga dalam beda dari bela diri lainnya sedangkan kelemahannya adalah karena menggunakan tenaga dalam jadi bisa termasuk bela diri yang bahaya karena jika salah sedikit maka akibatnya bisa fatal
