are the main limitations of this study. Moreover, the follow-up period of the most recently operated patients was too short to draw conclusions on long-term outcomes, including sexual function.
In all patients in this case series, vNOTES hysterectomy after prior vNOTES adnexal surgery was successfully performed. Large-scale prospective trials with long-term follow-up are needed to evaluate the safety and feasibility of multiple consecutive vNOTES procedures in 1 patient.

Modern advances, particularly in the field of radiotherapy, aim to reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease. Also, new diagnostic tools increasingly improve their efficacy in early detection of the preclinical treatment-induced cardiac damage. In this review, we summarize the mechanisms of radiotherapy- and chemotherapy-induced cardiac injury, the available clinical data, the strategies to mitigate cardiac exposure with modern radiotherapy and the current diagnostic tools for an early detection and prompt management of these complications in long-term cancer survivors.
Colonic diverticulosis increases with age, leading to a higher risk of colonic diverticular bleeding (CDB) in the elderly. As life expectancy continues to increase, the need for endoscopic hemostasis for CDB in the elderly can also be expected to increase. However, there have been no reports to date on the feasibility of endoscopic hemostasis for elderly CDB patients. INF195 Several recent studies have addressed the effectiveness of endoscopic band ligation (EBL) for CDB. In this study, we evaluate the safety and effectiveness of EBL in elderly CDB patients compared to younger CDB patients.
We retrospectively analyzed the medical records of consecutive patients treated with EBL for the first time at a tertiary referral center between March 2011 and November 2017. Patients were grouped according to age into those at least 75 years old (the Elderly) and those <75 years old (the Nonelderly). Patient characteristics, technical success, and complications were compared between the two groups.
EBL was performed inedness, higher CCI, and lower hemoglobin level were all significantly more frequently observed in the Elderly on multiple logistic regression analysis.
EBL may be similarly safe and effective for the treatment of CDB in the elderly as in the nonelderly.

Inspired by application of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) in skin treatment during injuries, an extracting method was developed here to recover high amounts of cytokines and growth factors from PRP; this prepared extract was named as self-growth colony (SGC).
In optimization of SGC preparation, various parameters were tested, for example, centrifugation force, freeze-thaw, sonication, and inclusion of calcium chelator. The amounts of cytokines and growth factors, including platelet factor 4, β-thromboglobulin, epidermal growth factor, vascular endothelial growth factor, platelet-derived growth factor, were measured by ELISA assay.
By comparing to PRP, the prepared SGC contained a significant higher amount of measured growth factors. In addition, the degradation of growth factors within SGC during the storage was calibrated, which showed better stability as compared to that of PRP preparation. Having possible application in skin care, the optimized SGC was chemically standardized by using the enrichment of growth factors. Application of SGC in cultured keratinocytes stimulated the wound healing of injured cultures. In line to this notion, SGC was applied onto human skin, and thereafter the robust improvement of skin properties was revealed.
The potential application of SGC in treating skin rejuvenation and ageing, as well as its elaborated application for medical purpose, that is, wound healing, was illustrated.

The aim of this systematic review and meta-analysis was to evaluate the evidence on the UCA predictive role in sPTB. In this study, PubMed, Web of Science, Scopus, and Google scholar were systematically searched from inception up to June 2020. Inter-study heterogeneity was also assessed using Cochrane's Q test and the I2 statistic. Afterward, the random-effects model was used to pool the weighted mean differences (WMDs) and the corresponding 95% confidence intervals (CIs). Eleven articles that reported second-trimester UCA of 5,061 pregnancies were included in this study. Our meta-analysis results indicate that a wider UCA significantly increases the risk of sPTB in following cases all pregnancies (WMD = 15.25, 95% CI 11.78-18.72, p less then 0.001; I2 = 75.9%, p less then 0.001), singleton (WMD = 14.43, 95% CI 8.79-20.06, p less then 0.001; I2 = 82.4%, p less then 0.001), and twin pregnancies (WMD = 15.14, 95% CI 13.42-16.87, p less then 0.001; I2 = 0.0%, p = 0.464). A wider ultrasound-measured UCA in the second trimester seems to be associated with the increased risk of sPTB in both singleton and twin pregnancies, which reinforces the clinical evidence that UCA has the potential to be used as a predictive marker of sPTB.Cerebral arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) are leading causes of lesional hemorrhagic stroke in both the pediatric and young adult population, with sporadic AVMs accounting for the majority of cases. Recent evidence has identified somatic mosaicism in key proximal components of the RAS-MAPK signaling cascade within endothelial cells collected from human sporadic cerebral AVMs, with early preclinical models supporting a potential causal role for these mutations in the pathogenesis of these malformations. Germline mutations that predispose to deregulation of the RAS-MAPK signaling axis have also been identified in hereditary vascular malformation syndromes, highlighting the key role of this signaling axis in global AVM development. Herein, we review the most recent genomic and preclinical evidence implicating somatic mosaicism in the RAS-MAPK signaling pathway in the pathogenesis of sporadic cerebral AVMs. Also, we review evidence for RAS-MAPK dysregulation in hereditary vascular malformation syndromes and present a hypothesis suggesting that this pathway is central for the development of both sporadic and syndrome-associated AVMs.
