Any 2020 Revise about 20/20 Times 2: Diplopia after Glaucoma Surgical procedure.
To assess the effect of connective tissue graft (CTG) in terms of vertical mid-facial soft tissue change when applied at the buccal aspect following single immediate implant placement (IIP).

Two independent reviewers conducted an electronic literature search in PubMed, Web of Science, EMBASE and Cochrane databases as well as a manual search to identify eligible clinical studies up to January 2020. Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and non-randomized controlled studies (NRSs) comparing IIP with CTG and without CTG over a mean follow-up of at least 12months were included for a qualitative analysis. Meta-analyses were performed on data provided by RCTs.

Out of 1814 records, 5 RCTs and 3 NRSs reported on 409 (IIP + CTG 246, IIP 163) immediately installed implants with a mean follow-up ranging from 12 to 108months. Only 1 RCT showed low risk of bias. Meta-analysis revealed a significant difference in terms of vertical mid-facial soft tissue change between IIP + CTG and IIP pointing to 0.41mm (95% CI [0.21;be considered when elevated risk for mid-facial recession is expected in the aesthetic zone (thin gingival biotype, less then 0.5 mm buccal bone thickness).
SAR247799 is a G-protein-biased sphingosine-1 phosphate receptor-1 (S1P
) agonist designed to activate endothelial S1P
and provide endothelial-protective properties, while limiting S1P
desensitization and consequent lymphocyte-count reduction associated with higher doses. The aim was to show whether S1P
activation can promote endothelial effects in patients and, if so, select SAR247799 doses for further clinical investigation.

Type-2 diabetes patients, enriched for endothelial dysfunction (flow-mediated dilation, FMD <7%; n = 54), were randomized, in 2 sequential cohorts, to 28-day once-daily treatment with SAR247799 (1 or 5 mg in ascending cohorts), placebo or 50 mg sildenafil (positive control) in a 522 ratio per cohort. Endothelial function was assessed by brachial artery FMD. Renal function, biomarkers and lymphocytes were measured following 5-week SAR247799 treatment (3 doses) to Zucker diabetic fatty rats and the data used to select the doses for human testing.

The maximum FMD change fresting of SAR247799, at sub-lymphocyte-reducing doses (≤5 mg), is warranted in vascular diseases associated with endothelial dysfunction.
We report, for the first time in the literature, a metastatic lymphatic pathway along the inferior epigastric vessels, through the inferior epigastric lymph nodes (IELNs), in patients with peritoneal carcinomatosis (PC). Interestingly, these lymph nodes (LNs) in the anterior retroperitoneum were not detectable on preoperative imaging. They may, however, represent a pertinent systemic dissemination pathway for PC.

In patients undergoing indocyanine green-fluorescence imaging during cytoreductive surgery for PC, an incidental finding of a hyperfluorescent LN, harboring metastatic tumorous cells, around the inferior epigastric artery was made.

In three out of fivepatients with clear fluorescent hotspot, the harvested LNwas harboring metastatic cancerous cells. None of these nodes, whether negative or positive, was visible on any preoperative imaging modalities. A protocol to sample, in a systematic manner, the IELN in patients with PC, is currently being devised at our institution.

These lymphatic nodes basin and channels might reveal to be a potential passage from peritoneal metastasis to the extraperitoneal lymphatic compartment, representing an independent pathway for cancerous cell dissemination. This will bring us to further investigate the prevalence and the prognostic significance of these LNs.

Here, an outbreak of pyrethroid poisoning in beef cattle was reported occurring in Midwestern Brazil. After veterinary evaluation, it was observed that the bovines presented common pyrethroid intoxication symptoms. Aiming to identify the cattle poising by pyrethroid, earwax samples were collected from two groups exposed and nonexposed animals from the same farm. Blind earwax analyses of the bovines were carried out using headspace/gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (HS/GC-MS). The aim of the study was to analyse how topics of interests about varicocele have changed in the last two decades. Literature about paediatric varicocele between 2000 and 2018 was reviewed, and the subjects of the articles were analysed, selecting the main and secondary topics of each article. A study of their prevalence over the years was performed. In the research, 625 articles were found but only 169 provided data in the paediatric age. The total percentage of exclusively paediatric works was 27.04%, being above average in Europe, North and South America. The main subject both for Europe and North America was surgical technique, while for Asia it was videolaparoscopy. The main issue in South America was fertility; Africa and Oceania do not have enough publications to make statistics. Paediatric articles account for less than one-third of overall articles. The first interest of research is surgical technique. In Europe, the topics seem to exclude fertility potential.
