The complete mitogenome of Metisotoma macnamarai (Folsom 1918) (Collembola, Isotomidae), a member of obligatory predaceous genus Metisotoma Maynard, 1951, was sequenced. It has a length of 15,177 bp, comprising 13 protein-coding genes, 22 tRNAs, and 2 rRNAs. The mitogenome has the following base composition A = 37.1%, T = 33.3%, G = 11.8%, and C = 17.4%. Phylogenetic analysis using maximum likelihood (ML) indicates that M. macnamarai clusters as sister taxon to the genus Isotomurus, with high statistical support.Prunus triloba Lindl. is a small shrub species, with many varieties and a long history of cultivation. It has been widely used for landscaping and is grown as a traditional flowering tree species in northern China. In this study, we sequenced the P. triloba Lindl. chloroplast genome, which forms a circular structure comprising 158,455 bp, including a pair of inverted repeat regions (52,634 bp), a large single-copy region (86,386 bp), and a small single-copy region (19,028 bp). We annotated 131 genes, including 86 coding sequences, 8 rRNA sequences, and 37 tRNA sequences. Furthermore, a phylogenetic analysis revealed P. triloba Lindl. is closely related to Prunus pedunculata. The two complete mitochondrial genomes were sequenced from the euryhaline monogonont rotifer Brachionus paranguensis. The mitochondrial genome sequences were 11,603 bp and 12,901 bp in size, and the gene order of 12 protein-coding genes (PCGs) were identical to those of the marine rotifer Brachionus plicatilis, but the positions of some tRNAs (e.g. tRNA-Ile, tRNA-Leu[TTA], tRNA-Phe, and tRNA-Leu[CTC]) of mitochondrial DNA I were different between B. paranguensis and B. plicatilis mitochondrial genomes. Of 12 PCGs, four genes (ND1, ATPase 6, ND5, and ND3) had incomplete stop codons. Furthermore, the start codon of ND4, ND5, and CO3 genes was ATT, while the start codon of other PCGs was ATG. The base composition of 12 PCGs in B. paranguensis mitochondrial genomes was 26.6% for A, 43.0% for T, 17.65% for C, and 12.75% for G, respectively.Leycesteria formosa is a frequently used medicinal plant (namely, 'Yi yao') in Southwest China. In this study, we sequenced the complete chloroplast (cp) genome sequence of L. formosa to investigate its phylogenetic relationship in the family Caprifoliaceae. The chloroplast genome of L. formosa was 156,261 bp in length with 38.1% overall GC content, including a large single-copy (LSC) region of 90,353 bp, a small single-copy (SSC) region of 19,299 bp and a pair of inverted repeats (IRs) of 23,287 bp. The cp genome contained 112 genes, including 79 protein-coding genes, 29 tRNA genes, and 4 rRNA genes. The phylogenetic analysis indicated Leycesteria was closely related to the genus Triosteum or Heptacodium. In this study, we sequenced and analyzed the complete mitochondrial genome of Mansonia uniformis, and this is the first report on the genus Mansonia. buy ARV-110 The circular mitogenome is 15,603 bp long and contains 13 protein-coding genes (PCGs), 22 tRNA genes, 2 ribosomal RNA genes, and a A + T-rich control region. Most PCGs start with ATN codons, and end with TAA, except for COX1 starting with TCG codons and COX2 ending with a single thymine stop codon. The phylogenetic tree based on the COX1 gene showed that M. uniformis formed a monophyletic clade, sister to other seven genus from the subfamily Culicinae.Herpetospermum pedunculosum (Ser.) C. B. Clarke is an important traditional Tibetan medicinal plants in the genus of Herpetospermum, Cucurbitaceae. To better determine its phylogenetic location with respect to the other Cucurbitaceae species, the complete plastome of H. pedunculosum will be reported, which is the first species with plastid genome sequence in the genus of Herpetospermum. Its whole genome is 156,531 bp in length, consisting of a pair of inverted repeats (IRs) of 26,147 bp, one large single-copy (LSC) region of 85,878 bp, and one small single-copy (SSC) region of 18,359 bp. There are 128 genes, including 83 protein-coding genes, 36 transfer RNA (tRNA) genes, and 8 ribosomal RNA (rRNA) genes in the plastome. Phylogenetic analysis based on 13 complete plastomes of Cucurbitaceae species showed sisterhood of H. pedunculosum and a clade containing Trichosanthes kirilowii and Hodgsonia macrocarpa, suggesting the close relationship between tribe Schizopeponeae and tribe Sicyoeae in the family Cucurbitaceae.Aphaenogaster famelica (Smith, 1874) is a slender ant found in Korea. We have completed the mitochondrial genome of A. famelica of which length is 19,464 bp, the third longest ant mitogenome so far. It was AT-biased (GC ratio is 18.0%) and includes 13 protein-coding genes, two ribosomal RNA genes, 22 transfer RNA genes, and a control region. The extra bases of A. famelica are placed in intergenic regions each between trnV-trnM and trnI-trnQ. Gene order of A. famelica is identical to other Myrmicinae ants. Phylogenetic trees show that tribe Stenammini and tribe Myrmicini are closely related. The mitochondrial genome of one leafhopper species Bolanusoides shaanxiensis was sequenced and annotated. The mitogenome is 15,724 bp in length, containing 37 typical genes and a control region. The A + T content of the whole mitogenome is 78.9%. Most of PCGs started with ATN and stopped with TAA, except for ATP8 started with TTG, COX2, COX3 and ND5 used incomplete T as stop codon. The phylogeny tree is monophyletic among 31 related species. The relationships of B. shaanxiensis and Typhlocyba sp. were closer than others. This study further enriched mitogenome database of the tribe Typhlocybini. The complete chloroplast genome sequence of Acorus gramineus was assembled and characterized as a resource for future genetic studies. With a total length of 152,887 bp, the chloroplast genome comprised of a large single-copy (LSC) region of 83,005 bp, a small single-copy (SSC) region of 18,230 bp, and two inverted repeat (IR) regions of 25,826 bp. The overall GC contents of the chloroplast genome were 38.7%. A total of 115 genes were predicted, consisting of 80 protein-coding genes, 31 tRNA genes, and 4 rRNA genes. In these genes, nine genes contained one intron and two genes contained two introns. Phylogenetic analysis confirmed the position of A. gramineus within the monocots.
