These alterations are predicted to continue to increase, with the potential for a wide range of impacts on invertebrates, key players in ecosystem-level processes. Here, we present a meta-analysis of 1679 cases from 207 studies reporting the effects of N, P, and combined N + P enrichment on the abundance, biomass, and richness of aquatic and terrestrial invertebrates. Nitrogen and phosphorus additions decreased invertebrate abundance in terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems, with stronger impacts under combined N + P additions. Likewise, N and N + P additions had stronger negative impacts on the abundance of tropical than temperate invertebrates. Overall, the effects of nutrient enrichment did not differ significantly among major invertebrate taxonomic groups, suggesting that changes in biogeochemical cycles are a pervasive threat to invertebrate populations across ecosystems. Endothelial cell dysfunction is the initial step of atherosclerosis. The underlying mechanisms of endothelial cell damage exposed to PM2.5 are still obscure. In our study, PM2.5 was administrated to C57BL/6 male mice by intranasal instillation for 2 weeks. Human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) were also treated with PM2.5 to evaluate the adverse effect in vitro. The immunohistochemical staining of aortas showed that the expressions of proinflammatory cytokines and endothelial adhesion markers were significantly increased in PM2.5-exposed mice than that in saline-exposed mice. In vitro, PM2.5 could inhibit HUVECs viability and impair cell migration in a concentration-dependent manner. Besides, PM2.5 exposure downregulated eNOS expression while upregulated reactive oxygen species (ROS) levels. Mechanistically, PM2.5 activated the NLRP3 inflammasome in HUVECs while knockdown of NLRP3 could effectively reverse the downregulation of eNOS expression and production of ROS after PM2.5 exposure. We evaluated thymoquinone (TQ), a compound from Nigella sativa Linn., for its anti-cancer effect on SK-Hep1 cells and HCC-xenograft nude mice. TQ effectively triggered cell death  and activated p38 and extracellular signal-regulated kinases (Erk) pathways up to 24 h after treatment in cells. TQ-induced cell death was reversed by p38 inhibitor; however, it was enhanced by si-Erk. The caspase3 activation and TUNEL assay revealed a stronger toxic effect upon co-treatment with TQ and si-Erk. Our study suggested that phosphorylation of p38 in SK-Hep1 cells constituted the major factor leading to cell apoptosis, whereas phosphorylation of Erk led to drug resistance. Furthermore, TQ therapeutic effect was improved upon Erk inhibition in HCC-xenograft nude mice. TQ could present excellent anti-HCC potential under suitable p-Erk inhibiting conditions.
This study aims to analyse the epidemiological and clinical features of the patients admitted to the hospital with the prediagnosis of coronavirus disease 19 (COVID-19) in Turkey.

In this retrospective study, epidemiological and clinical features, laboratory markers, radiological features, therapeutic approaches, and survival conditions of the patients with the prediagnosis of COVID-19 from March 11th to June 30th, 2020 have been analysed and reported. The data of the cases were divided into four groups and then compared with each other first group includes confirmed cases with positive reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and chest computed tomography (CT) imaging results considered as COVID-19 lung involvement, second group includes the clinically diagnosed cases with negative RT-PCR and positive CT imaging abnormalities, third group includes mild and asymptomatic cases with positive RT-PCR and negative CT findings, fourth group includes suspected cases with negative RT-PCR and negat levels of CRP were found to be higher in patients with lung involvement compared with other patient groups.

The EverBio-2 trial (Comparison of Everolimus- and Biolimus-Eluting Coronary Stents with Everolimus-Eluting Bioresorbable Vascular Scaffold) was a single-center, assessor-blinded, randomized controlled trial in which 240 patients were randomly allocated (111) to BVS, everolimus-eluting (EES) or biolimus-eluting (BES) DES. Clinical follow-up was scheduled up to 5 years. All patients, alive and who did not have repeat revascularization of the target lesion during follow-up were asked to return for angiographic follow-up at 5 years.

Five-year angiographic follow-up was completed in 122 patients (51%) and OCT analysis was performed in 86 (36%) patients. In-stent late lumen loss was similar in both groups with 0.50 ± 0.38 mm in BVS versus 0.58 ± 0.36 mm in EES/BES, p= 0.20. Clinical follow-up was complete in 232 patients (97%) at 5 years.
