However, the role of this bacterium or other causative agents or husbandry conditions remains to be elucidated.Vibrio parahaemolyticus strains have been identified as the causative agent of acute hepatopancreas necrosis disease (Vp AHPND+) in shrimp. In the present work, a highly virulent (M0904) and less virulent (M0607) strain of Vp AHPND+ were used in experimental infections of Penaeus vannamei. Throughout the experiment, histopathological analyses were conducted on shrimp tissues, and samples from the bottom (B) and water column (WC) of each aquarium were taken to estimate bacterial growth. The first deaths of shrimp challenged with Vp M0904 occurred 4 h post-infection (hpi), reached 50% mortality at 17 hpi, and showed more acute pathological progression associated with AHPND despite both strains having similar bacterial densities from 0-4 hpi. The first deaths of shrimp inoculated with Vp M0607 occurred at 13 hpi, a difference of 9 h. These shrimps displayed reduction of reserve vacuoles in R and B cells of the hepatopancreas, and reached 50% mortality at 27 hpi. As bacterial growth in the WC and B in the first hours was similar for both strains, bacterial density was not a significant factor in Vp virulence. Since pirAB toxin is the causative agent of AHPND, it is possible that there is a threshold level at which the toxin damages hepatopancreatic tissues, so production or secretion of the toxin can be dependent of the Vp strain. We propose new AHPND stage remission with 3 main routes for the disease outcome after the remission stage (re-infection, chronic effect and recuperation). Hepatopancreatic embryonic cells can be used as a biological indicator of this stage.
Klasse2000 is the most widely adopted school-based prevention program in Germany. It addresses health promotion, addiction, and violence prevention in primary schools. As a universal prevention program, it has reached more than 1.4 million German children in the past 25 years.

The effectiveness of Klasse2000 will be evaluated with a large representative survey among students. Students who have participated in the prevention program (intervention group) will be compared with students who did not participate (control group). click here The comparison will cover the following outcome domains well-being, self-esteem, emotion regulation, food habits, behavioral problems, and school and classroom atmosphere. Furthermore, victimization and perpetration regarding bullying, alcohol consumption, smoking, and media consumption are assessed.

To control for potential group differences, treatment effects will be estimated using propensity score-matching, which matches students from the intervention and control groups based on an identical propensity score or a propensity score that does not differ by more than a previously defined distance. The treatment effect will then be estimated in the matched sample taking the matching process into account.

Enrollment of schools began in March 2017. A total of 6376 students participated in the survey (n=4005 in control group; n=2371 in Klasse2000). The parent survey was returned by 52.13% (3324/6376) of parents. Results are expected in mid-2020.

The results on the effectiveness of the Klasse2000 prevention program will form an empirical basis for legitimizing universal prevention programs and for planning future prevention approaches.

DERR1-10.2196/14371.Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), was first reported in Wuhan, China. The infection rapidly spread to more than 200 countries around the world. The clinical presentation of the disease may vary from mild illness to severe pneumonia such as acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). The chest computed tomography (CT) has an important complementary role in diagnosis of the disease. The predominant CT findings of the disease are ground glass opacities and consolidations located in subpleural areas of lower lobes. Widespread ground-glass opacities, consolidation, air bronchograms, central involvement of lung parenchyma, mediastinal lymphadenopathy are more common in patients with the severe form of the disease. CT imaging also guides in differentiation of alternative diagnosis or in assessment of associated pulmonary embolism during the course of the disease. In this pictorial review we aim to review the CT features of COVID-19 pneumonia and mention the changes throughout the disease process.
We aimed to identify if there is an association between the severity of cervical cancer at diagnosis and the pattern of recurrence.

We conducted a retrospective study of recurrent cervical cancers diagnosed between 2016 and 2018. We characterized the cases according to histology, size, FIGO stage (according to 2009 and 2018 FIGO classifications) and nodal involvement at diagnosis, symptoms at the time of recurrence, interval between the end of treatment and recurrence, imaging methods used, and location of the recurrence. Statistical analysis was performed between histology, size, FIGO stage and nodal involvement at diagnosis and time to recurrence and type of recurrence (locoregional versus lymph node, distant or multiple site involvement).

We included 48 patients with recurrent cervical cancer. At diagnosis, mean tumor size was 5 cm and 83% of the patients had squamous cell carcinoma. The FIGO stage changed in 43.8% of patients between the 2009 and the 2018 classifications. A mean of 26 months elapsed between the end of treatment and recurrence.
