Various content creators have adopted YouTube to discuss male infertility, and healthcare practitioners should be aware of YouTube's potential influence on patient understanding of male infertility. Knowledge gaps identified in YTVs can help improve patient counseling and enable practitioners to direct patients to reliable content. We report the microstructure and thermoelectric properties of composite nanofiber webs, which were fabricated by dual-electrospinning of polyacrylonitrile (PAN) and sodium cobalt oxide (NaCo2O4) precursor solutions with different input compositions and following heat-treatment at 600-900 °C for simultaneous carbonation and calcination. The SEM and EDS mapping images revealed that PAN-derived carbon nanofibers (CNFs) and NaCo2O4-based ceramic nanofibers coexisted in the composite nanofiber webs and that their relative contents could be controlled by the input compositions. The Seebeck coefficient increased from ~26.77 to ~73.28 μV/K and from ~14.83 to ~40.56 μV/K with increasing the relative content of NaCo2O4 nanofibers in the composite nanofiber webs fabricated at 700 and 800 °C, respectively. On the other hand, the electrical conductivity of the composite nanofiber webs increased with the decrement of the relative content of NaCo2O4 nanofibers as well as the increment of the heat-treatment temperature. Owing to the opposite contributions of NaCo2O4 nanofibers and CNFs to the Seebeck coefficient, electrical conductivity and thermal conductivity, a maximum power factor of ~5.79 μW/mK2 and a figure of merit of ~0.01 were attained for CNF/NaCo2O4-based composite nanofiber webs fabricated at 45 wt% input composition of NaCo2O4 and at heat-treatment of 700 °C.Metabolomic profiling of the hexacoral Pocillopora damicornis exposed to solar filters revealed a metabolomic signature of stress in this coral. It was demonstrated that the concentration of the known steroid (3β, 5α, 8α) -5, 8-epidioxy- ergosta- 6, 24(28) - dien- 3- ol (14) increased in response to octocrylene (OC) and ethylhexyl salicylate (ES) at 50 µg/L. Based on the overall coral response, we hypothesize that steroid 14 mediates coral response to stress. OC also specifically altered mitochondrial function at this concentration and above, while ES triggered a stress/inflammatory response at 300 µg/L and above as witnessed by the significant increases in the concentrations of polyunsaturated fatty acids, lysophosphatidylcholines and lysophosphatidylethanolamines. Benzophenone-3 increased the concentration of compound 14 at 2 mg/L, while the concentration of stress marker remained unchanged upon exposition to the other solar filters tested. Also, our results seemed to refute earlier suggestions that platelet-activating factor is involved in the coral inflammatory response.Electrochemical sensors are the tools to detect the accurate and sensitive miRs. There is the challenge to increase the power and sensitivity of the surface for the electrochemical sensor. We design a virus-like hallow structure of cuco2o4 that it holds the large amounts of p19 protein by mimicking of inherent virus (Carnation italian ringspot virus) to detect 21mir with the limit of detection (LOD = 1aM). The electrochemical measurements are performed between the potentials at -0.3 V and +0.3 V with 1 mM [Fe(CN)6] -3/-4. After dropping the cuco2o4 on the SCPE (screen carbon printed electrode), the sensor is turned on due to the high electrochemical properties. Then, p19 proteins move into the hallow structure and inhibit the exchange of electrochemical reactions between the shells and the sensor is turned off. Then, adding the duplexes of RNA/miRs cause to increase the electrochemical property of p19 due to the change of p19 conformation and the system is turned on, again. So, for the first time, a virus-like hallow structure has been used to detect the 21miR in the human serum, MCF-7, Hella cells, with high sensitivity, specificity, and reproducibility in few minutes.Understanding oral microbiota programming attracts increasing interest due to its importance for oral health and potential associations with systemic diseases. Here the oral microbiota was longitudinally characterized in children from 2 days (n = 206) to 5 years of age and in young adults (n = 175) by sequencing of the v3-v4 region of the 16S rRNA gene from saliva extracted DNA. Alpha diversity increased by age, with 2-day- and 3-month-old infants in one sub-group, and 18-month- and 3-year-old children in another. Firmicutes decreased up to 3 years of age, whereas Proteobacteria, Actinobacteria, Bacteroidetes and Fusobacteria abundances increased. Abiotrophia, Actinomyces, Capnocytophaga, Corynebacterium, Fusobacterium, Kingella, Leptotrichia, Neisseria and Porphyromonas appeared from 18-months of age. This was paralleled by expansions in the core microbiome that continued up to adulthood. The age-related microbiota transformation was paralleled by functional alterations, e.g., changed metabolic pathways that reflected e.g., breastfeeding and increasing proportions of anaerobic species. Oral microbiotas differed by feeding mode and weakly by mode of delivery, but not gender, pacifier use or cleaning method or probiotic intake. The study shows that the saliva microbiota is diverse 2 days after birth and under transformation up to 5 years of age and beyond, with fluctuations possibly reflecting age-related environmental influences.Culturomics is a high-throughput culture approach that has dramatically contributed to the recent renewal of culture. While metagenomics enabled substantial advances in exploring the microbiota, culturomics significantly expanded our knowledge regarding the bacterial gut repertoire through the discovery and the description of hundreds of new taxa. While this approach relies on the variation of culture conditions and media, we have tested so far more than 300 conditions since the beginning of culturomics studies. In this context, we aimed herein to identify the most profitable conditions for optimizing culturomics approach. For this purpose, we have analysed a set of 58 culturomics conditions that were previously applied to 8 faecal specimens, enabling the isolation of 497 bacterial species. As a result, we were able to reduce the number of conditions used to isolate these 497 of more than a half (i.e. to 25 culture conditions). Selleck AZD2811 We have also established a list of the 16 conditions that allowed to capture 98% of the total number of species previously isolated.
