We will enroll 70 pwMS in a wait-list crossover trial to examine the efficacy of our intervention. If successful, findings will help determine whether we can help participants lose clinically significant weight - and whether weight loss among pwMS and overweight/obesity reduces fatigue, and improves mobility, mood, and quality of life.
The objective of this study was to investigate the factors impacting cross-sectoral collaboration in arts, health and wellbeing programme, policy and strategy development in South West England.

The study used a participatory action research approach and qualitative methods in the context of a broader effort to develop a regional arts, health and wellbeing strategy.

Data collection methods included participant observation, semi-structured interviews, a focus group and feedback collected through collaborative online discussion documents. Data were coded using qualitative data analysis software and analysed using thematic analysis. Data were used inductively to develop the conceptual framework of key factors influencing cross-sectoral collaboration in arts, health and wellbeing.

Seven key factors that affect cross-sectoral collaboration for arts, health and wellbeing activities were derived from the data and analysis value and legitimacy, relationships, policy and system complexity, power, capacity, resources and alignment. A conceptual framework shows how these factors relate to each other in multiple configurations and shape cross-sectoral collaborations.

There are increasing opportunities for organisations to partner on arts, health and wellbeing activities. This study highlights key factors influencing the ability to collaborate across sectors and to align with local and national policy agendas. The proposed conceptual framework offers a way to think holistically about how to design for and manage these collaborations.

Since these early discoveries, numerous proteins responsible for such transport, which often act at membrane contact sites, have been identified. Typically, they comprise a lipid harboring module thought to shuttle back and forth between the two adjacent bilayers. Recently, however, studies of the chorein domain protein family, which includes VPS13 and ATG2, has led to the identification of a novel mechanism of lipid transport between organelles in eukaryotic cells mediated by a rod-like protein bridge with a hydrophobic groove through which lipids can slide. This mechanism is ideally suited for bulk transport of bilayer lipids to promote membrane growth. Here we describe how studies of VPS13 led to the discovery of this new mechanism, summarize properties and known roles of VPS13 proteins, and discuss how their dysfunction may lead to disease.Neuro-orthopedic complications of the upper limb affect all of its joints and lead to a multitude of clinical pictures. The clinical assessment, which should be multidisciplinary, will have to answer basic questions to define the goal(s) and the appropriate surgical strategy. What is the patient's and family's complaint? What is the possible utility of the deformities? What is the type of deformity? Is it reducible or not? What is the contribution of the upper limb deformities versus that of any associated injuries to the discomfort? Several difficulties exist in the clinical assessment evaluation of the antagonists especially the wrist extensor muscles; the intrinsic deformity component, which can be masked by the extrinsic component when retracted, the muscles responsible for a wrist flexion contracture and the complex shoulder deformities. see more Many patients have multiple deformities, which creates a problem for the hierarchy of corrections depending on the objectives. The answer to these questions helps to define a clear objective that will be formalized in a contract with the patient and subsequently to define the surgical strategy. Surgery is based on a simple principle relax the muscles on the side of the deformity, either by selective neurotomy if there is a simple hypertonia, or by a tendon procedure if the muscle is retracted; compensate for the antagonists if they are deficient, and potentially stabilize the joint. Conservative procedures are preferred to preserve the possibility of functional recovery in the future. The wide range of medical and surgical solutions allows the patient's care to be personalized. In the upper limb, the results are better for hygienic, positioning, and analgesic objectives. They remain more difficult to obtain for functional objectives, due to the biomechanical complexity of gripping.Plant viruses trigger numerous responses in their insect vectors. Using iTRAQ-based quantitative proteomics analysis, early responses of the insect vector, the small brown planthopper (Laodelphax striatellus Fallén, SBPH), after acquiring Rice black-streaked dwarf virus (RBSDV) at 3 days and 5 days post first access to diseased plants (padp) were revealed. A total of 582 differentially abundant proteins (DAPs) in SBPH with a fold change >1.500 or less then 0.667 (p-value less then 0.05) were identified. The proteomic analysis in SBPH at 3 days padp revealed 106 highly abundant proteins and 193 of low abundance, while 5 days padp revealed 214 highly abundant proteins and 182 of low abundance. Among them, 51 highly abundant proteins and 42 of low abundance were shown consistently at both 3 days and 5 days padp. Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) analysis mapping and Gene Ontology (GO) term classification suggested impairment of mitochondria in SBPH after RBSDV acquisition, and the 77 out of 582 dm and decreased mitochondria biogenesis, to prevent apoptosis and prolong the life span of SBPH post virus acquisition.
