During the first study wave (T1), participants were 243 children (47% female) with a mean age of 10.4 years (SD = 8.0 months). The sample was representative of its community, with 37% identifying as Black/African American and 63% White/European American. Children completed a self-esteem measure and wore actigraphs for seven consecutive nights. Participants returned to the lab 1 year later and completed a standardized assessment of cognitive functioning. Results indicated that self-esteem moderated longitudinal associations between sleep quality and cognitive functioning. Specifically, children with both better sleep quality and higher self-esteem performed better relative to other children in the sample.Safety analysis of aquatic products has been a challenge in recent years due to the serious matrix interference, complex characteristics, and ultra-low content of analytes. Introducing advanced materials to sample preparation technique can greatly improve the extraction, enrichment, and separation for further qualification and quantification of target analytes by coupling with consequent analytical technologies. Based on this scope, this review is mainly introducing advanced materials on the sample preparation for safety analysis of aquatic products in the past decade. After introducing the importance of the corresponding advanced materials, advanced materials are used for the sample preparation and in the improvement of safety analysis result of aquatic products. Advanced materials for sample preparation of aquatic products were reviewed including carbon materials, metal organic frameworks, covalent organic frameworks, molecularly/ions imprinted polymers, etc. Then, applications of the advanced materials for the analysis of specific fishery analytes (antibiotics, anesthetic, preservatives, etc.) were briefly introduced. Conclusions and perspectives on advanced materials for sample preparation and safety analysis of aquatic products were also presented.
Legislative provisions in Thailand's National Health Security Act 2002 mandate annual public hearings for providers, beneficiaries and other stakeholders in order to improve the performance of the Universal Health Coverage Scheme (UCS).

This study aims to explore the annual public hearing process, evaluate its effectiveness and propose recommendations for improvement.

In-depth interviews were conducted with 29 key informants from various stakeholder groups involved in annual public hearings.

The evaluation showed that the public hearings fully met the criteria of influence over policy decision and partially met the criteria of appropriate participation approach and social learning. However, there are rooms for improvement on public hearing's inclusiveness and representativeness of participants, adequacy of information and transparency.

Three recommendations were proposed a) informing stakeholders in advance of the agenda and hearing process to enable their active participation; b) identifying experienced facilitators to navigate the discussions across stakeholders with different or conflicting interests, in order to reach consensus and prioritize recommendations; and c) communicating policy and management responses as a result of public hearings to all stakeholders in a timely manner.

Diastolic dysfunction is common in cardiovascular diseases, particularly in the case of heart failure with preserved ejection fraction. The challenge is to develop adequate animal models to envision human therapies in the future. It has been hypothesized that this diastolic dysfunction is linked to alterations in the nitric oxide (
NO) pathway. To investigate this issue further, we investigated the cardiac functions of a transgenic rat model (Tgβ
) that overexpresses the human β
-adrenoceptor (hβ
-AR) in the endothelium with the underlying rationale that the
NO pathway should be stimulated in the endothelium.

Transgenic rats (Tgβ
) that express hβ
-AR under the control of intercellular adhesion molecule 2 promoter were developed for a specific expression in endothelial cells. Transcriptomic analyses were performed on left ventricular tissue from 45-week-old rats. Among all altered genes, we focus on
