This paper reports the CureGN experience in optimizing data quality and underscores the importance of general and study-specific data quality initiatives to maintain excellence in the research measures of a multi-center observational study.Dielectric spectroscopy of the human blood is a powerful and convenient non-invasive testing technique that can be used to diagnose diseases such as diabetes and leukemia. One needs to consider rigorous experimental procedures and mathematical models to make the results of this type of test comparable. The present paper will discuss previously published results to further investigate the statistical modeling of the dielectric properties of human blood. The analysis shows that previously published results were related to Modified Weibull (MW) distributions of relaxation times, not Gaussian distributions, as reported. This re-analysis prevents the ill definition of fitting parameters, making sure they present physically justifiable values. Besides, for fluids presenting a Modified Weibull distribution of relaxation times, novel exact and closed-form expressions for the real and imaginary parts of complex permittivities were obtained in terms of generalized hypergeometric functions. Also, a high accuracy approximation was built for the imaginary part of the complex permittivity, creating an easy-to-use alternative expression for practitioners. The new results are used to fit experimental results for human blood, showing that more robust estimators are built for the parameters involved, which can be used as thresholds to classify the dielectric behavior of blood as normal (healthy) or anomalous (sick).The analytical experiment was executed to present detailed reports on the concentration of heavy metals (nickel, iron, zinc, manganese, chromium, lead, and cadmium) in farmed shrimp, Penaeus monodon and its concomitant human health risks upon consumption. A total of 147 farms from six sub-districts of Khulna were selected for sample collection and concentration of heavy metals were determined by Atomic Absorption Spectrometry (AAS) method, following electro-thermal heater digestion. Ni and Cr were found considerably below the detectable limit (BDL) in four sub-districts, while Cr found in shrimps from Rupsa and Paikgacha were far higher than the maximum recommended limit defined by FAO and WHO. The average concentrations of Fe and Mn in all sub-districts crossed the recommendations, whereas average concentrations of Zn, Ni, Cd, and Pb were within the recommendations. Regardless of sampling site, target hazard quotients (THQ) of more than 1 contributed by Fe confirmed higher level of hazard index (HI), indicating potential human health risk. Fortunately, no heavy metal or their additive effect found to offer lifetime potency of carcinogenesis upon consumption of these shrimps. Therefore, probabilistic non-carcinogenic human health risk from Fe contamination necessitates stringent monitoring and controlling of this metal from different sources to farms.Pre-Columbian Mesoamerica was a fertile crescent for the development of number systems. Supercapacitors are known to have high power densities and respond significantly well to peak power demands. For this research it is desired to evaluate how supercapacitors can affect the operation of an existing hydrogen fuel cell system, when combined. This study will include the evaluation of the viability of a DC-DC converter used to reduce the size (and subsequently, weight) of a supercapacitor bank. It also evaluates whether specified switching of the sources has an effect. Using data generated from the experiment it was determined that the DC-DC converter (with efficiency >94%) reduced the efficiency (by 0.5%) and duration (by 3.8%) of the supercapacitor bank whilst increasing the weight (by 16.7%). It was also seen that the method of selective switching offered no benefit over that of a self-selecting system, where the former obtained 223 s of usability and the latter 365 s. However, comparing all the results it was observed that the addition of a supercapacitor bank allowed for an improvement in energy- and power density, of the hydrogen fuel cell system, from 0.65 Wh/kg to 1.19 Wh/kg and from 69.7 W/kg to 125.7 W/kg, respectively.
