To compare the pattern of brain waves in video game addicts and normal individuals, a case-control study was carried out on both. Cabazitaxel has played an important role in the treatment of patients with metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC); however, several types of sequential therapy against mCRPC have been performed in routine clinical practice. The objective of this study was to investigate the impact of third-line treatment on prognostic outcomes of mCRPC patients.

This study retrospectively analyzed the clinical outcomes of 166 patients who received 3 agents following the diagnosis of mCRPC, consisting of 81 sequentially treated with either abiraterone or enzalutamide and then docetaxel, followed by third-line cabazitaxel (group A) and 85 treated with 3 agents, including abiraterone, enzalutamide, and docetaxel (group B).

There were no significant differences in major characteristics at the introduction of the third-line agent between these 2 groups. The proportion of patients with prostate-specific antigen (PSA) reduction > 50% by cabazitaxel in group A was significantly greater than that by either third-line agent in group B. Most PCNSLs arise in immunocompetent older patients and less frequently in immunocompromised patients with Epstein-Barr virus infection. Although a patient's initial response to chemotherapy and radiation therapy is favorable, the clinical outcome of PCNSL remains poor compared to that of systemic lymphoma. Radiation-induced neurotoxicity is also a critical problem for patients with PCNSL. Therefore, a novel therapeutic strategy is required to overcome these challenges. Recent studies have largely uncovered the genomic landscape and associated histopathological features of PCNSL. Based on this background, novel therapeutic agents, such as Bruton's tyrosine kinase inhibitors and immune checkpoint inhibitors, have been introduced for patients with PCNSL. Here, we provide an overview of the updated histopathological and genomic characterization of PCNSL and summarize the current therapeutic strategies. We also review current preclinical PCNSL models for translational research.The aim of this study was to establish a convenient process to get auraptene-enriched blends from Citrus limon L. Osbeck (Rutaceae) peels powder with functional food and nutraceutical potential and antioxidant properties. On the other hand, RV systolic function is usually assessed by tricuspid annular plane systolic excursion (TAPSE) and fractional area change (FAC). This study aimed to investigate the prevalence and prognostic value of RVF and RV systolic dysfunction (RVSD) in septic patients.

Mechanically ventilated sepsis and septic shock patients were included. We collected haemodynamic and echocardiographic parameters as well as prognostic information including mechanical ventilation duration, length of ICU stay and 30-day mortality. RVF was defined as a right and left ventricular end-diastolic area ratio ≥ 0.6 in combination with CVP ≥ 8mmHg. RVSD was defined as TAPSE < 16mm or FAC < 35%.

A total of 215 patients were enrolled in this study, and the patients were divided into 4 groups patients with normal RV function (normal, n = 101), patients with RVF but without RVSD (RVF only, n = 38), patients with RVSD but without RVF (RVSD only, n = 44), and patients with combined RVF-RVSD (RVF/RVSD, n = 32).
