ermittent training both significantly improved the body shape of obese male college students. However, high-intensity intermittent training improved the glycolipid metabolism of obese male college students to a greater extent than aerobic exercise did.
Elevated serum soluble ST2 (sST2) level is marker of poor prognosis in chronic heart failure (HF). N-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) is an important biomarker in cardiovascular diseases. This study aimed to address the incremental usefulness of the combined use of high-sensitivity sST2 and NT-proBNP for predicting the risk of major adverse cardiovascular events (MACEs) in patients with coronary heart disease (CHD).
We used patient data along with data established by our research group to compare the performance of a combination of biomarkers reflecting ventricular fibrosis, remodeling, stretch and deterioration of cardiac function (sST2 and NT-proBNP) with that of established mortality risk factors [age, diabetes, systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), body mass index (BMI), creatinine (Cr), uric acid (UA), glucose (Glu)] in stratifying the risk of MACEs in CHD patients.
The median follow-up period was 3.9 years, during which timesk factors (P<0.001).
A model incorporating sST2 and NT-proBNP was shown to outperform a model based on established MACE risk factors alone in stratifying risk of MACEs in a group of CHD patients.

Posterior edge separation of the vertebral body is an uncommon but non-rare orthopedic disease, the traditional treatment is posterior open surgery. Recently, a lot of attempts in minimally invasive treatment of lumbar posterior edge fracture have been made. We set to discover the value of minimally invasive surgery in the treatment of posterior edge separation, we designed this retrospective study.
Eighteen patients (10 males and 8 females) with posterior edge separation were included between September 2015 and May 2019. The mean age of the patients were 49.9 years. Patients that we included were divided into two groups people in team A were treated with percutaneous endoscopic lumbar discectomy (PELD), while the other group (team B) were carried the minimally invasive spinal surgery-transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion (MISS-TLIF). The intraoperative/postoperative complications and index were recorded respectively. Visual analogue scale (VAS) and Oswestry disability index (ODI) were applied as evaluation parameters to evaluate the effect of the procedure.
The mean operation time and notch length in PELD group were 71 min and 6.8 mm, while these date in the other group were 105 min and 31.2 mm. In PELD group, the blood loss during the operation were 5 mL and the time lying in bed after the surgery 24 h, the data in corresponding group were 101 mL and 96 h. People included in our trial (excluding 1 defaulters) had a mean follow-up of 9 months (range, 3-12 months). The VAS and ODI score before and after the surgery had insignificant difference between the two groups (P>0.05). Compared with the data before the operation, the VAS and ODI score had significantly improved after the surgery in two groups (P<0.05).
The MISS-TLIF and PELD were all effective methods in the treatment of posterior edge separation.

Myocardial ischemia (MI) could cause many complications, such as arrhythmia, ischemic cardiomyopathy, which could lead to angina and myocardial infarction. The clinical efficacy of dezocine, morphine and nalbuphine are becoming dominated in China market. This aim of this study was to investigate the effects of dezocine, morphine and nalbuphine on electrical pain threshold, temperature pain threshold and cardiac function in rats with MI.
A rat model of MI was established by ligating the coronary artery. Rats in the model group were injected with dezocine, morphine, nalbuphine and 0.9% normal saline. The effects of the three analgesics on MI rats were evaluated by comparing the electrical pain threshold, temperature pain threshold, and cardiac function index.
The electrocardiogram revealed that the model of MI was successful. The results of the electrical pain threshold and temperature pain threshold tests revealed that nalbuphine was the most sensitive after medication, followed by dezocine, and the sensbest effect with the longest duration on temperature, and had less influence and higher safety in the cardiac function test of MI rats. Hence, nalbuphine is a relatively good analgesic for MI patients. The present study provides a database for the selection of analgesics in patients with MI.
The purpose of this study is to explore the factors that influence the reporting of adverse events related to elder abuse and neglect in nursing homes from nursing home leaders' perspectives. Good leadership requires in-depth knowledge of the care and service provided and the ability to identify and address problems that can arise in clinical practice.
A qualitative explorative design with data triangulation was used. The sample consisted of 43 participants from two levels of nursing home leadership, representing six municipalities and 21 nursing homes in Norway. Enitociclib purchase Focus group interviews were undertaken with 28 ward leaders and individual interviews with 15 nursing home directors. The constant comparative method was used for the analyses.
Both ward leaders and nursing home directors described formal and informal ways of obtaining information related to elder abuse and neglect. There were differences between their perceptions of the feasibility of obtaining formal reports about abuse in the nursing home. Three main categories of influencing factors emerged (1) organisation structural factors, (2) cultural factors and (3) abuse severity factors. A main finding is that in its present form, the Norwegian adverse event reporting system is not designed to detect abuse and neglect.
This paper provides an in-depth understanding of patient safety and factors related to reporting elder abuse in nursing homes in Norway.
