The obtained series of CoxNi3-x(HAB)2 MOFs were then explored as efficient multifunctional electrocatalysts for the non-Pt MOR and overall water splitting in alkaline medium. The basic characterizations of CoxNi3-x(HAB)2 MOFs revealed that they comprised multiple metal valence states (Co0/Co2+/Co3+ and Ni2+/Ni3+) and graphene-like nanostructures embedded with abundant CoNi alloy nanoparticles. Compared with the sole-metal MOFs (Co3(HAB)2 MOF and Ni3(HAB)2 MOF), the CoxNi3-x(HAB)2 MOF with a mass ratio of CoNi = 13 (CoxNi3-x(HAB)2 MOF-2) exhibited superior electrocatalytic performance for MOR. It gave a high current density of 92.8 mA cm-2 at 1.6 V vs. reversible hydrogen electrode (RHE) for MOR, along with the low overpotentials at the current density of 10 mV cm-2 (η10) and Tafel slopes toward hydrogen evolution reaction (η10 = 119 mV, Tafel slope = 46 mV dec-1) and oxygen evolution reaction (η10 = 1.35 V, Tafel slope = 26 mV dec-1). The analysis on the catalysis mechanism of MOR and water splitting in alkaline medium was also proposed. The voltages applied to the three- and two-electrode systems based on the bifunctional CoxNi3-x(HAB)2 MOF-2 catalyst for overall water splitting are 1.52 V vs. RHE and 1.45 V vs. silver/silver chloride (Ag/AgCl), respectively. This meta-analysis aimed to investigate the association between LVH using the different electrocardiographic criteria in patients with hypertension. ALK cancer Methods A comprehensive literature search was performed PubMed and Embase databases up to September 1, 2019. Observational studies evaluating the association between electrocardiographic LVH (Cornell voltage, Cornell product or Sokolow-Lyon voltage) at baseline and risk of stroke among hypertensive patients were selected. The risk ratio (RR) with 95% confidence interval (CI) was pooled for patients with electrocardiographic LVH versus without LVH. Results Seven studies enrolling 58,098 hypertensive patients were included. When compared those with or without LVH patients showed that the pooled RR of stroke was 1.63 (95% CI 1.38-1.93) for Cornell voltage criteria, 1.41 (95% CI 1.07-1.86) for Cornell product criteria, and 1.42 (95% CI 1.20-1.69) for Sokolow-Lyon voltage criteria, respectively. However, the predictive significance of Cornell product criteria was not reliable in the sensitivity analysis. Conclusions Baseline electrocardiographic LVH detecting by Sokolow-Lyon or Cornell voltage criteria can predict the development of stroke in hypertensive patients. Use of electrocardiographic LVH can improve stroke risk stratification in hypertensive patients.Purpose Rural Vietnam has been subject to continuous hygienic latrine interventions since the mid-1990s. However, most have concentrated on improving coverage rather than use. It is thus important to examine rural hygienic latrine use rates and the predictors impacting them. Accordingly, this can inform subsequent sanitation policy and enrich pertinent, rural health scholarship. Methods For this study, 792 adult household heads were surveyed in Giong Trom district, Ben Tre, Mekong Delta region, Vietnam. A logistic regression analysis was performed on household heads owning a hygienic and unhygienic latrine simultaneously (N = 140). Included use predictors were individual-contextual and RANAS. This permit assessments of behavioural or normative predictors that, in many instances, are absent from comparable studies. Predictors' statistical significance was set at p less then 0.03. Findings Unsatisfactory hygienic latrine use in Ben Tre, among hygienic latrine owners, exceeds 20%. Meanwhile, the only hygienic latrine use predictors with statistical significance are neighbours' behaviour, user preference and health-benefit beliefs. Conclusion The Ben Tre case underscores that hygienic latrine ownership or access does not ensure comprehensive use. This even applies to latrines that are clean, working and adequate privacy-providing. Sanitation interventions thus ought to consider a targeted, community-coverage approach with expansive health messaging and emphasis on behavioural change. Demographic or socioeconomic-particular targeting, however, is not always necessary no individual-contextual predictors proved statistically significant.
