Since the 1990s, international organizations such as ISO and OECD have published guidelines for the use of zebrafish in ecotoxicological assessment of environmental toxicants such as the Fish Embryo Acute Toxicity (FET) test, OECD n° 236 guideline. This protocol uses 3,4-dichloroaniline (DCA), an aniline pesticide whose toxicity to fish species at early life stages is well known, as a positive control. Despite its use, little is known about its molecular mechanisms, especially in the context of the FET test. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate such changes in zebrafish larvae exposed to DCA (4 mg/L) for 96 hours using gel-free proteomics. Twenty-four proteins detected in both groups were identified as significantly affected by DCA exposure, and, when considering group-specific entities, 48 proteins were exclusive to DCA (group-specific proteins) while 248 were only detected in the control group. Proteins modulated by DCA treatment were found to be involved in metabolic processes, especially lipids and hormone metabolism (eg, Apoa1 and Apoa1b and vitelogenins), as well as proteins important for developmental processes and organogenesis (eg, Myhc4, Acta2, Sncb, and Marcksb). This study evaluated the measurements of proton pencil beam scanning delivery made with a 2D ion chamber array in solid water on a 1D motion platform, where respiratory motion was simulated using sine and cosine4 waves representing sinusoidal symmetric and realistic asymmetric breathing motions, respectively. Motion amplitudes were 0.5 cm and 1 cm corresponding to 1 cm and 2 cm of maximum respiratory excursions, respectively, with 5 sec fixed breathing cycle. The treatment plans were created to mimic spherical targets of 3 cm or 10 cm diameter located at 5 cm or 1 cm depth in solid water phantom. A reference RBE dose of 200 cGy per fraction was delivered in 1, 5, 10, and 15 fractions for each dataset. We evaluated dose conformity and uniformity at the center plane of targets by using the Conformation Number and the Homogeneity Index, respectively. Results indicated that dose conformity as well as homogeneity was more affected by motion for smaller targets. Dose conformity was better achieved for symmetric breathing patterns than asymmetric breathing patterns regardless of the number of fractions. The presence of a range shifter with shallow targets reduced the motion effect by improving dose homogeneity. While motion effects are known to be averaged out over the course of multifractional treatments, this might not be true for proton pencil beam scanning under asymmetrical breathing pattern. © 2020 The Authors. METHODS Ten cases with primary malignant tumor of the cervical spine were treated with intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) in our hospital from August 2013 to November 2014. The X-ray volumetric images (XVI) were scanned and obtained by cone-beam CT (CBCT). The six directions (6D) of set-up errors of translation and rotation were obtained by planned CT image registration. HexaPOD evo RT 6D couch made online correction of the set-up error, and then the CBCT was conducted to obtain the residual error. RESULTS We performed set-up error and dosimetric analysis. First, for the set-up error analysis, the average error in three translation directions of 6D set-up error of the primary tumor of the cervical spine was less then 2 mm, whereas the single maximum error (absolute value) is 7.0 mm. OBJECTIVES The aim of this study is to examine the prognostic value of pretreatment FDG-SUVmax in patients with SCLC staged with 8th TNM staging system. METHODS A total of 344 (292 male) SCLC patients with pretreatment FDG- PET/CT were included. One hundred fifty-three of cases were stages I-III, 191 were stage IV. SUVmax values were obtained for primary tumour, lymph nodes and metastases. Univariate and multivariate analysis were performed to determine the effect of pretreatment SUVmax, with cut-off value of median, on progression-free and overall survival (PFS and OS). RESULTS Median OS and PFS for patients with stages I-III were 16.50 and 11.00 months, respectively. Median OS and PFS for patients with stage IV were 10.00 and 7.00 months, respectively. SUVmax of the primary tumour (PT), lymph nodes or metastasis were not associated with OS and PFS on univariate analysis.
