The institutional databases were queried for all consecutive minimally invasive procedures for afferent loop syndrome. A retrospective, dual-centre analysis was performed, separately analysing EUS-guided hepaticogastrostomy, EUS-guided gastroenterostomy and percutaneous drainage. Efficacy, safety, need for re-intervention, hospital stay and overall survival were compared.

In total, 17 patients were included (mean age 59 years (± SD 10.5), 23.5% female). Six patients, which were ineligible for EUS-guided gastroenterostomy, were treated with EUS-guidedmes, suggesting EUS-guided hepaticogastrostomy as the salvage procedure in situations where EUS-guided gastroenterostomy is not feasible or has failed.

Several obstacles and issues are addressed that challenge the current paradigm and inquire if neoantigens, which are essentially single-use vaccine candidates, are legitimate targets to induce protective immune responses with regard to the evolving mutational landscape. We also share insights into the striking similarities between cancer and antigenically variable pathogens and suggest that any successful vaccine against either should demonstrate a similar property efficient induction of a diverse pool of immune cells equipped to prevent immune escape. Hence, to confront antigenic variability directly, we have employed our innovative vaccine concept, Variable Epitope Libraries, composed of large combinatorial libraries of heavily mutated epitopes, as a "universal" vaccine platform. Collectively, we offer critical analyses on key issues, which ultimately reflect on the prospective clinical relevance of personalized neoantigen vaccines which is still undefined.Adsorption of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) on the surface of catalytic systems containing (8, 0) single-walled carbon nanotube decorated with Ni and Pd transition metals was investigated using plane-wave density functional theory. SWCNT was modified by adding Ni and Pd atoms to both inside and outside the nanotube and replacing carbon atoms with these metals. All structures were relaxed, and their structural and electronic properties were investigated before and after H2S adsorption and compared with pristine (8, 0) SWCNT properties. Obtained results showed that decorating CNTs with metals increases CNT efficiency for H2S adsorption. The most negative adsorption energies were observed when H2S was adsorbed on the surfaces of metal-decorated nanotube. Electronic properties like band structures and density of states indicated that systems containing Ni on SWCNT are more effective at adsorbing and sensing H2S molecules. Hydrogen sulfide adsorption also changed the magnetization of Ni-decorated structures. Moreover, adsorption of H2S from H side to Ni-decorated SWCNT leads to dissociation of H2S to HS and S atom. Obtained results showed that metal-decorated nanotubes are potentially good candidates for separating H2S from industrial waste gas streams and for its use in H2S sensors.Heat stress adversely affects plants growth potential. Global warming is reported to increase in the intensity, frequency, and duration of heatwaves, eventually affecting ecology, agriculture and economy. With an expected increase in average temperature by 2-3 °C over the next 30-50 years, crop production is facing a severe threat to sub-optimum growth conditions. Abscisic acid (ABA) and nitric oxide (NO) are growth regulators that are involved in the adaptation to heat stress by affecting each other and changing the adaptation process. The interaction between these molecules has been discussed in various studies in general or under stress conditions; however, regarding high temperature, their interaction has little been worked out. In the present review, the focus is shifted on the role of these molecules under heat stress emphasizing the different possible interactions between ABA and NO as both regulate stomatal closure and other molecules including hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), hydrogen sulfide (H2S), antioxidants, proline, glycine betaine, calcium (Ca2+) and heat shock protein (HSP).
