to gain weight. Proper screening and counselling during the follow-up visit in the outpatient setting can help in identification, prevention and management of the obesity-related metabolic syndrome and cardiovascular disease (CVD), and motivate them to adopt healthy behaviours.
A firm must identify its key competitors (those that belong to the same competitive group), especially when operating in highly competitive industries, such as drug products. Experts who prescribe products to the final consumer play a crucial role in identifying the key competitors of a firm. In this context, the present paper aimed to determine if significant differences exist between two groups of prescribers (commercial and social) regarding the competitive structure that both groups identify using subjective information obtained through (i) categorization methods and (ii) evaluation methods.
A sample of 104 prescribers related to the sale of cosmetic pharmaceuticals was interviewed (53 commercials and 51 social prescribers). Multidimensional scaling was used to obtained perceptual maps that visually represented the competitive space for each group of prescribers. Cluster analysis was employed to identify the competitive structure (competitive clusters) for each group of prescribers. Bilateral Pearson are not significant. On the contrary, some differences due to the information collecting method (categorization versus evaluation) have been identified.
There are certain perceptual differences depending on prescribers' occupation, although these differences are not significant. On the contrary, some differences due to the information collecting method (categorization versus evaluation) have been identified.
From 2003 to 2013 the number of patients exposed to mechanical restraint in Danish psychiatric hospitals was increased. Since, a great effort has been done to reduce mechanical restraint.
The aim of this study was to assess whether physical therapy could lower the level of arousal and reduce mechanical restraint among patients with mania.
170 patients admitted with mania at Aarhus University Hospital were offered physical therapy during the study period from 2017 to 2018. Patients reported their experienced level of arousal before and after physical therapy, rating feelings of tension, ability to be at rest, and feelings of irritability/aggression on Visual Analog Scales. Further, the number of manic patients exposed to mechanical restraint in this period was compared with the two previous years and with patients with other diagnoses.
Patients' level of arousal was significantly reduced after receiving physical therapy. Further, the study showed a significant reduction in mechanical restraint among patients with mania from 2015 to 2017.
The results indicate that physical therapy lowers the level of arousal and it is possible that physical therapy contributed to a reduction in mechanical restraint among manic patients. However, the study-design does not allow for confirming this causality.

Systematic review and meta-analysis.
To conduct a literature review on outcomes of discectomy for upper lumbar disc herniations (ULDH), estimate pooled rates of satisfactory outcomes, compare open laminectomy/microdiscectomy (OLM) versus minimally invasive surgical (MIS) techniques, and compare results of disc herniations at L1-3 versus L3-4.
A systematic review of articles reporting outcomes of nonfusion surgical treatment of L1-2, L2-3, and/or L3-4 disc herniations was performed. The inclusion and exclusion of studies was performed according to the latest version of the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) statement.
A total of 20 articles were included in the quantitative meta-analysis. Pooled proportion of satisfactory outcome (95% CI) was 0.77 (0.70, 0.83) for MIS and 0.82 (0.78, 0.84) for OLM. There was no significant improvement with MIS techniques compared with standard OLM, odds ratio (OR) = 0.86, 95% CI (0.42, 1.74),
= .66. Separating results by levels revealed a trend of higher satisfaction with L3-4 versus L1-3 with OLM surgery, OR = 0.46, 95% CI (0.19, 1.12),
= .08.
Our analysis reveals that discectomy for ULDH has an overall success rate of approximately 80% and has not improved with MIS. Discectomy for herniations at L3-4 trends toward better outcomes compared with L1-2 and L2-3, but was not significant.

CX-4945 solubility dmso javanica (CJP) was obtained from Codonopsis javanica (Blume) Hook. f. et Thomson using hot water extraction method, which was separated and purified by DEAE-cellulose column and Sepharose CL-6B column. The structure of the purified component was preliminary characterized by gas chromatography-mass spectrometer (GC-MS), high performance gel permeation chromatography (HPGPC) and infrared spectroscopy (IR). By examining the degree of delayed-type hypersensitivity (DTH) in mice and carbon particle clearance index, the immunomodulatory activity was clarified. The results showed that the extraction rate of CJP was 24.9 ± 0.5%. After purification, the refined polysaccharides component (CJP-2) was obtained. The structural characterization results indicated that CJP-2 was mainly composed of mannose, glucose, and galactose, and its molecular weight was 790 Da. Immunomodulation results showed that the low and medium levels of CJP significantly enhanced the degree of DTH in mice (P less then 0.05). CJP can improve the clearance index of mice and enhance their charcoal removal function. The study indicates that C. javanica is a good source of polysaccharides, and CJP may be a new type of immunomodulator.
