Notes

Recently, an old rumour was spread once again, about the curse of Pierce House. Since the last incident occurred the shattered blade had been kept in the basement of the mansion and hasn't been revisited for years. I, Dustin Hart, a young piano teacher for the house, became very interested and I looked further into it. She was a new maid. She had wandered downstairs to the basement and found and an old blade incased in a red cloth. She had picked it up not knowing of it's history and taken it to her own room. Four days later I found her lying cold on the bathroom floor. If I had not have been so curious I mightn't have picked up the blade myself and had horrifying images flash across my mind to a sort of quiet tune playing in the background. I still hadn't solved the case so I called my sister Max, a local Newspaper Editor. Curiosity did not get the better of her as it had done me. Unsure of what to do, she told me to quit my job and take the blade with me. Four days after, an image of an unfortunate accident appeared in the paper. It had a ghostly figure floating above the dark pool of blood that emerged from under the car.

Now, I return to my job out of fear that I am the cause of the three deaths that had come from the accident. I was finished with my shift and had gone to the toilet. The man before me, which happened to be my boss, had the paper when he came out, as one does. I thanked him and asked him if I could take it from him as I might be a while. He gave it to me, yes, but I did not make it to the toilet. I caught my reflection in the mirror or rather I had not. I looked again and found I was almost translucent. I held the paper up and saw that the ghostly figure in the picture had been myself. Then and there I dropped to the floor and the same tune played in my head as I closed my eyes.
