The health benefits of other types of face coverings have not been tested and their effectiveness in reducing exposure is highly variable, depends largely on fit, and is unrelated to cost. Behavior modifications may reduce exposure, but there has been little research on health impacts. There is now substantial evidence thled at the source, such as during forest fires, individual- or household-level interventions may be the primary option. In most cases, however, such interventions should be supplemental to emission reduction efforts that benefit entire communities.Controlling the selectivity of detonation initiation reaction to reduce the explosive sensitivity has been a Holy Grail in the field of energetic materials. The effects of the external electric fields on the homolysis of the N-NO2 bond and initiation reaction dynamics of NH2NO2∙∙∙H2O (i.e., intermolecular and 1,3-intramolecular hydrogen transfers) were investigated at the MP2/6-311++G(2d,p) and CCSD/6-311++G(2d,p)//MP2/6-311++G(2d,p) levels. The results show that the N-NO2 bond is not the "trigger linkage." The notable transiliences of the activation energy of the intermolecular hydrogen transfer are found with the field strength of - 0.012 a.u. along the -x-direction, leading to the conversion of the main reaction between the intermolecular and 1,3-intramolecular hydrogen transference. The activation energies of two kinds of the hydrogen transferences are increased under the external electric fields along the -y-direction. In particular, due to the conversion of the main reaction, the activation energies of the overall reaction are increased significantly along the -x-direction, leading to the significant reduced explosive sensitivities. Therefore, by controlling the field strengths and orientations between the "reaction axis" and external electric field along the y- and x-directions, the selectivity of the initiation reaction could be controlled and the explosive sensitivity could be reduced. Employing AIM (atoms in molecules) and surface electrostatic potentials, the origin of the control of reaction selectivity and the reduction of sensitivity is revealed. This work is of great significance to the improvement of the technology that the external electric fields are added safely into the energetic material system to enhance the explosive performance. Graphical abstract.Long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) nuclear-enriched assembly transcript 1 (NEAT1) has been reported to be highly expressed in Parkinson's disease (PD). However, the mechanism of NEAT1 in PD progression has not been fully elucidated. 1-methyl-4-phenyl-1, 2, 3, 6-tetrahydropyridine injection (MPTP) was used to construct PD mouse models in vivo, and 1-methyl-4-phenyl pyridine (MPP+) was used to build PD cell models in vitro. Quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) was employed to test the expression of NEAT1, microRNA (miR)-212-3p and axis inhibition protein 1 (AXIN1). The viability, apoptosis and inflammation of cells were determined using cell counting kit 8 (CCK8) assay, flow cytometry and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), respectively. Then, the protein levels of apoptosis-related markers and AXIN1 were measured by western blot (WB) analysis. Furthermore, dual-luciferase reporter assay and RNA immunoprecipitation (RIP) assay were performed to verify the interaction between miR-212-3p and NEAT1 or AXIN1. NEAT1 was upregulated in PD mouse models and cell models. Function experiments confirmed that NEAT1 knockdown could promote the viability, suppress the apoptosis and inflammation of MPP+-stimulated SK-N-SH cells to restrain PD progression. MiR-212-3p was downregulated in PD, and its inhibitor could reverse the suppression effect of NEAT1 knockdown on PD progression. CHIR99021 Additionally, AXIN1 was a target of miR-212-3p, and its overexpression could invert the inhibition effect of miR-212-3p mimic on PD progression. Furthermore, AXIN1 expression was inhibited by NEAT1 silencing and promoted by NEAT1 overexpression, while these effect could be recovered by miR-212-3p inhibitor and mimic, respectively. Our results demonstrated that NEAT1 knockdown suppressed PD progression through regulating the miR-212-3p/AXIN1 pathway, indicating that NEAT1 might be a therapeutic target for neuroprotection in PD.Novel mathematical models were developed to predict inter-tablet coating uniformity in terms of coefficients of variation (CV) and acceptance values (AV) for cylindrical tablet pan coaters, operating in batch and continuous modes. In this study, we evaluated the effects of abiotic factors (precipitation and day length) on the vegetative phenology of three stem-succulent deciduous species (Cochlospermum vitifolium, Commiphora leptophloeos, and Manihot anomala) during 2 years. In addition, we compared leaf damage by herbivores and leaf defensive traits (specific leaf area, thickness, and content of phenolic compounds) on leaf cohorts produced before and during the rainy season by these stem-succulent deciduous species. We also evaluated herbivory and defensive traits on leaves produced during the rainy season by 14 non-succulent deciduous species. There was a positive effect of precipitation and day length on the amount of green leaves exhibited by the three stem-succulent species. The leaf cohort produced during the dry season by stem-succulent species showed lower leaf damage and content of phenolic compounds than the cohort produced during the rainy season by the same species and by non-succulent deciduous species.
