Airway management in the form of tracheostomy may be done as an emergency or elective procedure depending on when the patient presents and it usually involves a multi-disciplinary team including the anesthesiologist and emergency physician. The purpose of this study is to present our experience with emergency tracheostomies carried out for patients presenting with tumors in the aerodigestive tract during this period of covid 19 pandemic and their outcomes. This is a cross sectional observational study. All the patients who underwent emergency tracheostomy at Dr. B. Borooah Cancer Institute, Guwahati, India, during the period 24th March, 2020 to 23rd September, 2020(6 months) are included in this study. A total of 115 patients underwent 117 emergency tracheostomies (two underwent redo tracheostomies). Median age of patients was 55 years. More than 85% of patients were male. The most common initial presenting complaint was dysphagia (40%) followed by dyspnea (25%). Most common site of tumor was pyriform sinus cancer (45.2%). Almost 45% of patients presented with stage IVA. Complications were seen in 10 patients (8.7%). These included stomal stenosis in 4(3.5%), primary hemorrhage in 3(2.6%), subcutaneous emphysema, infection and wound break down each in one patient (0.9% each). Among the eight residents who performed these procedures, five developed covid 19 symptoms subsequently, and were tested covid positive. Emergency tracheostomy is a safe procedure for patients; however it carries a higher risk of covid transmission despite using proper precautions.This paper investigates the dynamics of a COVID-19 stochastic model with isolation strategy. Evidence has begun to emerge which suggests that such dramatic changes in people's routine activities have yielded similarly dramatic changes in criminal behavior. This study represents the first 'look back' on six months of the nationwide lockdown in England and Wales. Using open police-recorded crime trends, we provide a comparison between expected and observed crime rates for fourteen different offence categories between March and August, 2020. We find that most crime types experienced sharp, short-term declines during the first full month of lockdown. duvoglustat This was followed by a gradual resurgence as restrictions were relaxed. Major exceptions include anti-social behavior and drug crimes. Findings shed light on the opportunity structures for crime and the nuances of using police records to study crime during the pandemic.

Due to such an important contribution of women in economic development, we propose to investigate the factors which affect women entrepreneur's success in Pakistan. Data were collected through structured questionnaires from 181 registered SMEs operating in Pakistan. A conceptual model is developed, while SPSS and AMOS software's are used for analysis. The results indicate that the internal factors including the need for achievements, risk-taking, and self-confidence and external factors including economic factors and socio-cultural factors have a positive and significant influence on the success of women-owned enterprises. This research recommends Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA), policymakers, and practitioners to encourage women entrepreneurs to run their businesses for the long term by providing a variety of incentives and supports related to those internal and external factors. Numerous studies have been conducted to test the different factors' effects on women's entrepreneurial success, but our study investigated some psychological, cultural, and religious factors that are still almost untouched especially in Pakistan. The current study also contributes to the existing literature through empirical shreds of evidence.
