to identify the main ethical problems and how these relate to the moral sensitivity of nurses working in a general medicine ward.

this qualitative, exploratory, and descriptive study was conducted in a university hospital located in the south of Brazil. A total of 18 nurses working in a general medicine ward were interviewed. A semi-structured interview script was used, and data were analyzed using discursive textual analysis.

nurses considered the main ethical problems to include conflicts at the institutional level, situations involving conflicts with patients and/or family members, and conflicts within the staff. The perception of nurses and how they deal with these problems relate to moral sensitivity. Two categories emerged experiencing ethical problems, and relationship with moral sensitivity.

a focused ethnography. The participants were 21 women who had presented a perinatal infection by the Zika virus and whose babies were born with congenital microcephaly. 2 discussion groups and 6 semi-structured interviews were conducted, and thematic analysis was used for data treatment.

three themes emerged, namely "God, why me?" is the initial questioning of the women to God for the prenatal diagnosis of microcephaly in their babies, "Clinging to a divine miracle" describes how the women did not lose their faith and begged for a divine miracle for their babies to be born healthy, and "It was God's will" means acceptance, resignation, and respect for God's will, as well as the denial to abort despite the medical recommendations.

in the "reduction of the time of the procedures" outcome, the general analysis of the supraglottic devices in comparison with the orotracheal tube initially presented high heterogeneity of the data (I2= 97%). to evaluate the use of the 2D-FlexRuler as a facilitating tool for the early calculation of the predictive scar factor of chronic wounds.
