The Three Greatest Moments In Built In Microwave Oven Combo History
A Built in Microwave Oven Combo Offers Convenience and Versatility

A microwave oven that is built-in combines your wall oven with your microwave into a single appliance. They can help free space on your countertops and give your kitchen a modern design.

These models come with powerful broilers that cook food evenly. The microwaves can also have the ability to heat food quickly. These models have a variety of options to cook different food items.

Size

Combining the convenience of a microwave oven with the versatility of an oven on a wall, a built in microwave and wall oven combo is a practical solution for kitchens of all kinds. Browse our selection of combination wall ovens and microwaves to find the ideal one for your home. Make sure to review the cutout specifications for the appliance you choose and follow the installation guide to be sure it is suitable for your space. Our microwave and wall oven models include microwave and wall oven models that are available in a range of styles, colors and finishes that will complement any style. Also, look out for features like modern and efficient electronic controls, a power-cook feature and built-in self-cleaning options to help reduce time.

Convenience

A built-in microwave oven combo will free up counter space and make your kitchen appear more modern appearance. Because it functions as a microwave and a traditional oven it is able to heat leftovers, frozen food items and pre-packaged meals in one appliance. It also eliminates the requirement for a separate countertop appliance or bulky stand-alone wall oven. If you're looking to improve your home without the need for major renovations, a microwave and a convection oven is a great option.

You can find microwave ovens that come in various styles to match your kitchen's decor. Some come with a swing-out right-to-left door, while others feature a drop-down design that opens the same way as an ordinary oven. You can also get microwave ovens that open inside a drawer, similar to a cabinet. The microwave drawers are easy to reach and are ideal for small spaces where you want to minimize the use of counter space.

Combination microwaves are also equipped with many features that can simplify meal preparation and make it more practical. Some models have sensors that allow you to steam your food. This feature alters the temperature and time of your food automatically to ensure you get perfect steaming of your fish and vegetables. Other features include a broil element that allows you to quickly melt cheese or cook your favorite food and Crispwave(tm) technology that allows you to grill food items, bake and crisp them.

Consider how often you'll make use of each feature when choosing the microwave oven combination. If you will be using the oven more often than the micro, you might be better off buying an oven that doubles as a wall. It's important to keep in mind that a combo oven typically has less capacity than a conventional standalone oven.

After you've selected an oven and microwave combination to satisfy your needs, think about the installation process. Over-the-range models are positioned over the stovetop or cooktop, and plug into the power outlet. Built-in microwaves can be incorporated into cabinets or walls in your kitchen. Certain models have trim kits that match your new microwave to the cabinets you already have.

Energy Efficiency

A built-in microwave oven combo is a great space saving option for those with smaller kitchens, regardless of whether they reside in a house or apartment. They can help save cabinet space that would normally be occupied by two separate appliances and they also can help reduce energy consumption. They are more energy efficient than traditional wall-mounted ovens and provide the most efficient method to cook. They can also be used to cook hot and cold dishes, which reduces the requirement for additional appliances such as toasters or warming plates.

When evaluating potential amended energy conservation standards, DOE conducts several analyses that include market and technology assessment, screening analysis, engineering analysis and a national impact analysis (NIA). For this SNOPR, DOE will rely on its existing engineering analysis of microwave ovens to determine the highest level of improvements in efficiency that are technologically feasible for this particular product class.

In the engineering analysis, DOE will compare the design parameters of a microwave against a set of energy performance objectives. The engineering analysis will then determine the maximum improvement in energy efficiency that is technologically feasible based on the most advanced microprocessor-controlled model available on the market or in working prototypes, or the maximum reduction in energy consumption that is technically achievable with the current technologies available for this product class.

As part of the NIA, DOE will evaluate the impacts on consumers for each product class, including lifecycle cost savings as well as simple payback periods ("PBP"). DOE will utilize its Government Regulatory Impact Model with an adaptation for microwave ovens to calculate industry net present value ("NPV").

Manufacturer impacts will be evaluated also, and DOE will use a modified version of the Industry Cash Flow model adapted for this product type to calculate the manufacturing NPV. Additionally, DOE will consider the potential impacts on small business manufacturers and other manufacturer subgroups to determine if they could be disproportionately affected by these proposals.

DOE will also consider whether the test procedure for microwave ovens needs to be revised to include active mode power consumption and an integrated energy use measure. Currently, the test protocols only deal with the standby mode power usage.

Design

Microwaves produce heat through the process of causing water molecules to vibrate in food. Wall ovens depend on the circulation of hot air, while microwaves rely on waves to cause food molecules to vibrate. recommended combine these two distinct appliances into one unit that helps save kitchen space and provides sleek, modern design. But you need to carefully think about your needs and budget before investing in a combo wall oven. Some of the ovens we evaluated have design or performance issues.
