In this study, Pd-supported BiVO4 microspheres (Pd-BiVO4) were prepared for visible light-induced photocatalytic reactions. Under irradiation with a white light-emitting diode, the obtained Pd-BiVO4 composite exhibited considerably improved catalytic activity for the decomposition of an organic dye compared with other BiVO4 catalysts. The Pd-BiVO4 composite was also effective for catalytic organic transformation via the visible light-induced Suzuki-Miyaura coupling reaction. The photogenerated electrons in the conduction band of BiVO4 flowed to the Pd nanoparticles and amplified cross-coupling reaction. The influence of the crystal structure and grain size of BiVO4 and the role of the deposited Pd nanoparticles were fully investigated to elucidate the visible light activity of the catalyst. This system highlights the possibility of an indoor light source with low energy density for sustainable organic transformations.Halide perovskites (HPs) have possible uses as an active layer for emerging memory devices due to their low operation voltage and high on/off ratio. However, HP-based memory devices, which are operated by the formation of a conductive filament, still suffer from reliability issues such as limited endurance and stability. To solve the problems, it is essential to control filament formation in the active layer. Here, we present nanoscale HP-based memory devices that have a Ag-doped ZnO (AZO) layer on HP. The AZO layer is used as a Ag ion reservoir for filament formation in HP, and this reservoir enables control of filament formation. By adjusting the Ag concentration in the AZO layer, the controlled filament composed of Ag can be formed; as a result, the memory device has excellent endurance (3 × 104 cycles) compared to the device that uses a Ag electrode instead of an AZO layer (4 × 102 cycles). Also, an AZO layer can passivate HP, so the device operates stably in ambient air for 15 days with a high on/off ratio (106). These results demonstrate that the introduction of the AZO layer can improve the reliability of HP-based memory devices for high-density applications.
This study aimed to find factors influencing the acceptance of telemedicine for adults in Brazil. Moreover, it investigates the moderating role of disease complexity and the generational digital divide phenomenon on the intention to use the telemedicine service.
A quasi-experiment was employed. Primary data were collected using a survey research method considering two different scenarios based on disease complexity and symptom severity. A total of 248 responses were collected using a structured questionnaire. The authors also tested these two scenarios in three generations (X, Y and Z) of adults. Partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) was used to analyze the collected data and test the research hypotheses.
The results indicated that performance expectancy and perceived security and reliability are two predictors of the behavioral intention to use telemedicine, whereas effort expectancy and social influence showed no statistical significance. Furthermore, the results demonstrated that adults tend to adopt telemedicine regardless of the level of disease complexity. Finally, this study does not support the existence of a digital divide in the three generations.

However, we still do not know the exact mechanisms for the participation of vitamin D in the regulation of reproductive function. The purpose of this study is to analyze actual literature data on the role of vitamin D in the regulation of reproductive system and its influence on using of assisted reproductive technologies for the treatment of infertility. A search was carried out for literary sources published in the NSBI database PubMed, Medline, and others with a search depth of up to 20 years. FHD-609 molecular weight 135 sources on this topic were studied, of which 54 were included in the analysis. The review presents data obtained in animal studies, in vitro and in clinical studies. Thus, the absence of vitamin D resulted in a dramatical decrease in fertility in both female and male rats and mice, due to the development of hypocalcemia. In vitro studies describe its involvement in the receptive transformation of the endometriu of vitamin D in the pathogenesis of infertility requires further study, as well as the possibilities of therapy in order to increase the effectiveness of infertility treatment methods and assisted reproductive technology programs.
