The method yields thematic differentiations not possible with NTL, avoids the use of costly cadastral data, and is suitable for mapping larger areas and tracing trends over time.We report herein the solution and solid-state studies of conformationally flexible multidecker naphthalenediimides (NDIs) in which the chromophoric NDI units intramolecularly assemble into a series of discrete π-stacks. The X-ray crystallography reveals the existence of exclusively all-syn NDIs orientations in lower congeners while all-anti in a higher congener, suggesting short- to long-range π···π interactions throughout the slipped πNDI chromophoric array. The UV/vis and fluorescence spectra evaluate the discrete π-stacks by remarkable optical changes upon cooling in solution. Furthermore, we carried out a systematic electrochemical investigation to gain an insight into redox properties of the long-range π-stacked structures. The higher congener (5NDI) shows a ten-electron reversible reduction process in a small working potential window (∼0.8 V). To our knowledge, this is an unusual observation in an organic molecular system to undergo up to ten-electron reduction. These results pave the way to design multidecker π-stacks in which structural control with specific electronic properties would be engineered.Metal-assisted chemical etching (MACE) has emerged as an effective method to fabricate high aspect ratio nanostructures. This method requires a catalytic mask that is generally composed of a metal. Here, we challenge the general view that the catalyst needs to be a metal by introducing oxide-assisted chemical etching (OACE). We perform etching with metal oxides such as RuO2 and IrO2 by transposing materials used in electrocatalysis to nanofabrication. Sodium cholate research buy These oxides can be solution-processed as polymers exhibiting similar capabilities of metals for MACE. Nanopatterned oxides can be obtained by direct nanoimprint lithography or block-copolymer lithography from chemical solution on a large scale. High aspect ratio silicon nanostructures were obtained at the sub-20 nm scale exclusively by cost-effective solution processing by halving the number of fabrication steps compared to MACE. In general, OACE is expected to stimulate new fundamental research on chemical etching assisted by other materials, providing new possibilities for device fabrication.Various α,β-unsaturated carbonyl compounds, such as acrylates and acrylamides, were quantitatively introduced to the terminal chain end of poly(phenylacetylene)s by C-C bond formation with terminal organorhodium(I) species formed in the living polymerization of phenylacetylenes with a rhodium-based multicomponent catalytic system that we have recently developed, when these carbonyl compounds were used as terminating reagents. This enables the facile and versatile synthesis of stereoregular telechelic poly(phenylacetylene)s with various functional groups at both the initial and terminal chain ends because the components of aryl boronic acid derivatives used as initiators in our multicomponent catalytic system are quantitatively introduced to the initiating end of the resulting polymer. Two uranyl vanadate heteropolyoxometalates (h-POMs) have been synthesized by ionothermal methods using the ionic liquid 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium diethyl phosphate (EMIm-Et2PO4). The hybrid actinide-transition metal shell structures have cores of (UO2)8(V6O22) and (UO2)6(V3O12), which we designate as U8V6 and U6V3, respectively. The diethyl phosphate anions of the ionic liquids in some cases terminate the core structures to form actinyl oxide clusters, and in other cases the diethyl phosphate oxyanions link these cluster cores into extended structures. Three compounds exist for the U8V6 cluster core U8V6-monomer, U8V6-dimer, and U8V6-chain. Tungsten atoms can partially substitute for vanadium in the U6V3 cluster, which results in a chain-based structure designated as U6V3-W. Each of these compounds contains charge-balancing EMIm cations from the ionic liquid. These compounds were characterized crystallographically, spectroscopically, and by mass spectrometry.
To evaluate the outcome events and bleeding complications of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) guideline-matched oral anticoagulant therapy for patients with acute ischemic stroke and atrial fibrillation (AF).

Patients with acute ischemic stroke and AF from a nationwide multicenter registry (Korean ATrial fibrillaTion EvaluatioN regisTry in Ischemic strOke patieNts [K-ATTENTION]) between January 2013 and December 2015 were included in the study. Patients were divided into the ESC guideline-matched and the non-matched groups. The primary outcome was recurrence of any stroke during the 90-day follow-up period. Secondary outcomes were major adverse cerebrovascular and cardiovascular events, ischemic stroke, intracranial hemorrhage, acute coronary syndrome, allcause mortality, and major hemorrhage. Propensity score matching and logistic regression analyses were performed to assess the effect of the treatments administered.

Among 2,321 eligible patients, 1,126 patients were 11 matched to the ESC guidelinematched and the non-matched groups. As compared with the non-matched group, the ESC guideline-matched group had a lower risk of any recurrent stroke (1.4% vs. 3.4%; odds ratio [OR], 0.41; 95% confidence interval [CI], 0.18 to 0.95). The risk of recurrent ischemic stroke was lower in the ESC guideline-matched group than in the non-matched group (0.9% vs. 2.7%; OR, 0.32; 95% CI, 0.11 to 0.88). There was no significant difference in the other secondary outcomes between the two groups.

ESC guideline-matched oral anticoagulant therapy was associated with reduced risks of any stroke and ischemic stroke as compared with the non-matched therapy.
ESC guideline-matched oral anticoagulant therapy was associated with reduced risks of any stroke and ischemic stroke as compared with the non-matched therapy.
Anesthesia regimen in patients undergoing mechanical thrombectomy (MT) is still an unresolved issue.

We compared the effect of anesthesia regimen using data from the German Stroke Registry-Endovascular Treatment (GSR-ET) between June 2015 and December 2019. Degree of disability was rated by the modified Rankin Scale (mRS), and good outcome was defined as mRS 0-2. Successful reperfusion was assumed when the modified thrombolysis in cerebral infarction scale was 2b-3.

Out of 6,635 patients, 67.1% (n=4,453) patients underwent general anesthesia (GA), 24.9% (n=1,650) conscious sedation (CS), and 3.3% (n=219) conversion from CS to GA. Rate of successful reperfusion was similar across all three groups (83.0% vs. 84.2% vs. 82.6%, P=0.149). Compared to the CA-group, the GA-group had a delay from admission to groin (71.0 minutes vs. 61.0 minutes, P<0.001), but a comparable interval from groin to flow restoration (41.0 minutes vs. 39.0 minutes). The CS-group had the lowest rate of periprocedural complications (15.
