PFS rate at 100 months after initiation of therapy was also evaluated. Results Of 408 patients (median age, 53 years; range, 28-80 years), 65 (16%) had a recurrence and 27 (7%) died. The log-rank test revealed differences in PFS for BES 4 versus 1, BES 5 versus 1, BES 5 versus 2, and BES 5 versus 3 (adjusted P less then .05 for all). PFS rates for BES 1-5 were 0.92, 0.85, 0.80, 0.62, and 0.58, respectively, and the corresponding OS rates at 100 months were 0.98, 0.91, 0.92, 0.77, 0.86, respectively. Conclusion Classification of breast edema findings on T2-weighted MRI scans using a breast edema score was related to the prognosis of patients after neoadjuvant chemotherapy. © RSNA, 2021 Online supplemental material is available for this article.Background Cardiac diffusion tensor imaging (cDTI) allows for in vivo characterization of myocardial microstructure. In cDTI, mean diffusivity and fractional anisotropy (FA)-markers of magnitude and anisotropy of diffusion of water molecules-are known to change after myocardial infarction. However, little is known about regional changes in helix angle (HA) and secondary eigenvector angle (E2A), which reflects orientations of laminar sheetlets, and their association with long-term recovery of left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF). Purpose To assess serial changes in cDTI biomarkers in participants following ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) and to determine their associations with long-term left ventricular remodeling. Materials and Methods In this prospective study, 30 participants underwent cardiac MRI (3 T) after STEMI at 5 days and 3 months after reperfusion (National Institute of Health Research study no. 33963 and Research Ethics no. Conclusion After ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction, diffusion becomes more isotropic in acutely infarcted myocardium as reflected by decreased fractional anisotropy. Reductions in secondary eigenvector angle suggest that the myocardial sheetlets are unable to adopt their usual steep orientations in systole, whereas reductions in myocytes with right-handed orientation on helix angle maps are likely reflective of a loss of organization among subendocardial myocytes. Purpose To analyze U.S. breast cancer mortality rates by age decade in women aged 20-79 years and in women aged 20-39 years and women aged 40-69 years. Materials and Methods The authors conducted a retrospective analysis of (a) female breast cancer mortality rates from NCHS data for 1969-2017 for all races and by race and (b) age- and delay-adjusted invasive breast cancer incidence rates from the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results program. Joinpoint analysis was used to determine trends in breast cancer mortality, invasive breast cancer incidence, and distant-stage (metastatic) breast cancer incidence rates. Results Between 1989 and 2010, breast cancer mortality rates decreased by 1.5%-3.4% per year for each age decade from 20 to 79 years (P less then .001 for each). After 2010, breast cancer mortality rates continued to decline by 1.2%-2.2% per year in women in each age decade from 40 to 79 years (P less then .001 for each) but stopped declining in women younger than 40 years. After 2010, breast cancer mortality rates demonstrated nonsignificant increases of 2.8% per year in women aged 20-29 years (P = .11) and 0.3% per year in women aged 30-39 years (P = .70), results attributable primarily to changes in mortality rates in White women. A contributing factor is that distant-stage breast cancer incidence rates increased by more than 4% per year after the year 2000 in women aged 20-39 years. Conclusion Female breast cancer mortality rates have stopped declining in women younger than 40 years, ending a trend that existed from 1987 to 2010. Conversely, mortality rates have continued to decline in women aged 40-79 years. Rapidly rising distant-stage breast cancer rates have likely contributed to ending the decline in mortality rates in women younger than 40 years. © RSNA, 2021 Online supplemental material is available for this article.The objective was to evaluate the cross-cultural measurement invariance of the Fear of COVID-19 Scale (FCV-19S) in 7 Latin American countries (Colombia, Ecuador, El Salvador, Mexico, Paraguay, Argentina, and Uruguay). The participants were 2944 people, selected through non-probability sampling for convenience, where the majority were women. Data collection occurred between 12 June and 14 September 2020. The results indicated that the model with two related factors presents a better fit to the data and has partial scalar invariance among the 7 countries. Differences in emotional and physiological reactions were observed between the countries.Background Esophageal achalasia is a rare, chronic, and progressive neurodegenerative motility disorder that is characterized by a lack of relaxation of the lower esophageal sphincter. Laparoscopic Heller myotomy (LHM) is the ideal in our population. Multiple surgical and medical treatments have been raised. However, there has been a need to expand studies and generate a clear algorithm for an ideal therapeutic algorithm. Methods Clinical record was retrospectively analyzed of patients who underwent LHM and Dor fundoplication evaluated with Eckardt score, at four Colombian medical centers between February 2008 and December 2018. Results There were a total of 21 patients (12 males and 9 females, ages 8 months to 16 years). The time from onset of symptoms to surgery was between 5 months and 14 years. One patient had esophageal mucosa perforation, 2 patients were converted to open surgery, and 1 patient had a postoperative fistula. All patients were discharged 3 to 9 days postoperatively, at which time they tolerated normal oral feeding.
