Dynamic calibration results show that the dynamic characteristics of PSPs with PtTFPP are dependent on the ambient pressure, whereas those of PSPs with Ru(dpp)3 are not influenced by the ambient pressure. This observation indicates that the governing factor in the frequency response under low-pressure conditions is the lifetime for PC-PSP and TLC-PSP, whereas the governing factor for AA-PSP is diffusion.
Microvascular tissue transfer is a common reconstructive procedure. We designed a bioelectrical impedance assessment (BIA) system for quantitative analysis of tissue status. This study attempts to verify it through the animal model.
The flaps of the rat model were monitored by the BIA system.
The BIA variation of the free flap in the rat after the vascular compromise was recorded. The non-vascular ligation limbs of the same rat served as a control group. The bio-impedance in the experimental group was larger than the control group. The bio-impedances of both the
/
flaps in the experimental group were increased over time. In the
, the difference in bio-impedance from the control group was first detected at 10 kHz at the 3rd and last at 1 kHz at the 6th h, after vascular compromise. The same finding was observed in the
. Compared with the control group, the bio-impedance ratio (1 kHz/20 kHz) of the experimental group decreased with time, while their variation tendencies in the thigh and feet were similar.
The flap may be monitored by the BIA for vascular status.
The flap may be monitored by the BIA for vascular status. In mechanically aligned (MA) total knee arthroplasty (TKA), the grand piano sign helps surgeons to further ensure the proper external rotation of the femoral component. The goal of this study was to determine the sex-related differences in the shape of the anterior resection surface using 3D magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) models. MRI scans were performed on 267 consecutive patients (202 women and 65 men) with osteoarthritis who underwent TKA in order to reconstruct a 3D model. Virtual anterior condylar resection was performed based on the surgical transepicondylar axis (sTEA), Whiteside's line (WSL), and flexion-extension axis (FEA). On the anterior resection surface, both lateral length (LatL) and medial length (MedL) were measured, and the ratio between the two (MedL/LatL) was calculated. The mediolateral width of the distal femur (ML) and anterior resection surface (M'L') were measured, and the ratio between the M'L' and ML (M'L'/ML) was calculated. Both the lateral deviation (LD) and the ratio between Lbe aware that the shape of the anterior resection surface may differ depending on the sex of the patient. The results of this study provide more consistent surgical outcomes as well as fundamental anatomical data for designing suitable prostheses applicable to the Korean population.Mapping the environment is necessary for navigation, planning and manipulation. In this paper, a fusion framework (as data-in-decision-out) is introduced for a 2D LIDAR and a 3D ultrasonic sensor to achieve three-dimensional mapping without expensive 3D LiDAR scanner or visual processing. Two sensor models are proposed for the two sensors used for map updating. Furthermore, 2D/3D map representations are discussed for our fusion approach. We also compare different probabilistic fusion methods and discuss criterias for choosing appropriate methods. Experiments are carried out with a real ground robot platform in an indoor environment. The 2D and 3D map results demonstrate that our approach is able to show the surrounding in more details. Sensor fusion provides a better estimation of the environment and the ego-pose whilst lowering the necessary resources. This gives the robot's perception of the environment more information by using only one additional low-cost 3D ultrasonic sensor. This is especially important for robust and light-weight robots with limited resources. This paper investigated an energy-efficient beamforming and power allocation strategy for cognitive heterogeneous networks with multiple-input-single-output interference channels. To maximize the sum energy efficiency of secondary users (SUs) while keeping the interference to primary networks under a predetermined threshold, I propose a distributed resource allocation algorithm using dual methods, in which each SU updates its beamforming vector and transmit power iteratively without any information sharing until convergence. The simulation results verify that the performance of the proposed scheme is comparable to that of the optimal scheme but with a much shorter computation time. The objective of this study is to assess the risk of newly acquired RNA detection-proven SARS-CoV-2 infection after previous SARS-CoV-2 infection. This is a prospective study conducted from March to September 2020 in Barcelona, Spain. Healthcare workers caring for SARS-CoV-2 infected patients were divided in two cohorts (a) previously RNA-proven SARS-CoV-2 infected cohort with mild symptoms (IC) and (b) healthy cohort (HC). Weekly SARS-CoV-2 RNA detection assays from nasopharyngeal swabs were performed. Serology status was assessed at the beginning and at the end of the study. Twenty participants were included in each group. The median age was 30 (IQR 27-34.75) years, and 55% were female. The median time of follow up was 49 (IQR 49-51) days. Fifteen out of 246 (6%) nasopharyngeal swab samples were positive for SARS-CoV-2, all in the IC. The percentage of participants in the IC with a probable newly acquired SARS-CoV-2 RNA-proven infection was 20% (95% IC 5.7-43.6%) at the end of the 7-week follow up period. The incidence reinfection rate was 28.6 (95% IC 7.8-73.2) cases per 1000 person-week. Despite detectable IgG antibodies against SARS-CoV-2 participants highly exposed to SARS-CoV-2 may develop a newly acquired SARS-CoV-2 RNA detection episode during the first months after the initial infection.Social anxiety is often purported to be a risk factor for increased cannabis use. Cannabis use motives are strong explanatory predictors of cannabis use embedded within social contexts. This investigation explored the impact of social anxiety, cannabis motives, and their interaction on willingness to use cannabis in a community sample of emerging adults. Social anxiety was anticipated to positively correlate with coping and conformity motives and greater willingness to use cannabis in peer social contexts. Vorinostat Motives to use were hypothesized to potentiate social anxiety's influence on cannabis use decision-making. In total, 124 participants completed an audio simulation of social cannabis use contexts (Can-SIDE) and standard measures of social anxiety (SIAS) and use motives (MMM). Contrary to expectations, social anxiety exerted a protective effect on willingness to use cannabis, but only when conformity, social, and expansion motives were at or below average. These effects varied by social contexts of use. Social anxiety leading to increased cannabis use may be most apparent in clinical samples and in high-risk cannabis users, but this pattern was not supported in this sample of community living emerging adults below clinical cutoffs for cannabis use disorder with relatively high social anxiety.
