Loading yields and efficiency were determined via 19F nuclear magnetic resonance and N2 physisorption isotherms. Sonication time was indicated to have the strongest correlation to loading yield and efficiency; however, method validation revealed that the current model does not fully explain the loading capabilities of the PSLM. Confounding variables and more finely controlled parameters need to be considered to better predict the behavior and loading capacity by the PSLM and warrants further study. In the present study, cobalt manganese phosphate (H-CMP-series) thin films with different compositions of Co/Mn are prepared on stainless steel (SS) substrate via a facile hydrothermal method and employed as binder-free cathode electrodes in a hybrid supercapacitor. The XRD study reveals a monoclinic crystal structure, and the FE-SEM analysis confirmed that H-CMP-series samples displayed a nano/microarchitecture (microflowers to nanoflakes) on the surface of SS substrate with excess available surfaces and unique sizes. Interestingly, the synergy between cobalt and manganese species in the cobalt manganese phosphate thin film electrode demonstrates a maximum specific capacitance of 571 F g-1 at a 2.2 A g-1 current density in 1 M KOH. Besides, the nano/microstructured cobalt manganese phosphate was able to maintain capacitance retention of 88% over 8000 charge-discharge cycles. More importantly, the aqueous/all-solid-state asymmetric supercapacitor manufactured with the cobalt manganese phosphate thin film as the cathode and reduced graphene oxide (rGO) as the anode displays a high operating potential window of 1.6 V. The aqueous asymmetric device exhibited a maximum specific capacitance of 128 F g-1 at a current density of 1 A g-1 with an energy density of 45.7 Wh kg-1 and a power density of 1.65 kW kg-1. In addition, the all-solid-state asymmetric supercapacitor device provides a high specific capacitance of 37 F g-1 at 1 A g-1 with 13.3 Wh kg-1 energy density and 1.64 kW kg-1 power density in a polymer gel (PVA-KOH) electrolyte. The long cyclic life of both devices (87 and 84%, respectively, after 6000 cycles) and practical demonstration of the solid-state device (lighting of a LED lamp) suggest another alternative choice for cathode materials to develop stable energy storage devices with high energy density. Furthermore, the aforementioned study paves the way to investigate phosphate-based materials as a new class of materials for supercapacitor applicability.Heterodimeric tryptophan-containing diketopiperazines (HTDKPs) are an important class of bioactive secondary metabolites. P450-mediated biocatalysis offers a practical avenue to access their structural diversity; however, many of these enzymes are insoluble in Escherichia coli and difficult to operate in Streptomyces. Through validation of the functions of two pairs Mycobacterium smegmatis sourced redox partners in vitro, and comparing the efficiency of different biocatalytic systems with tricky P450s in vivo, we herein demonstrated that M. smegmatis is much more efficient, robust, and cleaner in metabolites background than the regularly used E. coli or Streptomyces systems. The M. smegmatis-based system can completely convert 1 g L-1 of cyclodipeptide into HTDKPs within 18 h with minimal background metabolites. On the basis of this efficient system, 12 novel HTDPKs were readily obtained by using two HTDKP-forming P450s (NasbB and NASS1868). Among them, five compounds have neuroprotective properties. Our study significantly expands the bioactive chemical scope of HTDKPs and provides an excellent biocatalysis platform for dealing with problematic enzymes from Actinomycetes.Sustainability has become a critical concern in the semiconductor industry as hazardous wastes released during the manufacturing process of semiconductor devices have an adverse impact on human beings and the environment. D34-919 datasheet The use of hazardous solvents in existing fabrication processes also restricts the use of polymer substrates because of their low chemical resistance to such solvents. Here, we demonstrate an environmentally friendly mechanical, bilayer lithography that uses just water for development and lift-off. We show that we are able to create arbitrary patterns achieving resolution down to 310 nm. We then demonstrate the use of this technique to create functional devices by fabricating a MoS2 photodetector on a polyethylene terephthalate (PET) substrate with measured response times down to 42 ms.A series of gemini surfactants were synthesized to examine their adsorption properties. The properties of gemini surfactants, including critical micelle concentration, electrostatic potential distributions, charge, occupied volume, lowest unoccupied molecular orbital (LUMO), and highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO), were evaluated using conductivity and density functional theory (DFT) calculations. The calculation results indicated that the electrostatic potential distributions were similar among the four gemini surfactants. Moreover, surfactants with longer carbon chains are more likely to be oblique on the rock surface according to the energy gap between the HOMO of the surfactants and the LUMO of the calcite surface. Experimental tests and molecular dynamics (MD) simulations were conducted to analyze the calcite-surfactant interactions. Combined with the free energy (ΔG) based on the contact angle and adsorption energy (E) based on MD simulation, the adsorption ability increases as the carbon chain length decreases. MD simulation is used to understand the form of surfactant molecules on the calcite at an atomic scale at different times. An obvious aggregation of gemini surfactants was found with an increase in the carbon chain length, which reduces the adsorption density and covered area of the surfactant. The adsorption behavior of the gemini surfactant is beneficial for isolating H+ transfer and retarding the acid reaction with the rock. The retarding ability and etching morphology were studied by acid etching. The acid-rock reaction rate showed that 12-4-12 had the best inhibition performance. Meanwhile, the uneven surface pattern following 12-4-12 etching is beneficial for maintaining the acid fracturing conductivity.
