Pollen grains are the male gametophytes in a seed-plant life cycle. Their small, particulate nature and crucial role in plant reproduction have made them an attractive object of study using flow cytometry (FCM), with a wide range of applications existing in the literature. While methodological considerations for many of these overlap with those for other tissue types (e.g., general considerations for the measurement of nuclear DNA content), the relative complexity of pollen compared to single cells presents some unique challenges. We consider these here in the context of both the identification and isolation of pollen and its subunits, and the types of research applications. While the discussion here mostly concerns pollen, the general principles described here can be extended to apply to spores in ferns, lycophytes, and bryophytes. In addition to recommendations provided in more general studies, some recurring and notable issues related specifically to pollen and spores are highlighted.
Histological studies reported that the His bundle (HB) is partitioned into narrow cords by collagen running in its long axis, providing the anatomical setting necessary for its longitudinal dissociation. Further confirmations came from the demonstration that direct HB pacing normalizes the QRS axis and duration in subjects with proximal HB lesions causing bundle branch block. However, there is no evidence of the possibility of selective HB partitions pacing destined to the composition of branches and fascicles.
We describe a case of intra-Hisian left bundle branch block in which permanent distal HB pacing corrects left ventricular delay and produces different QRS morphology at different voltage outputs, as an expression of different selective HB compartments recruitment.

Current accessibility to child and adolescent mental health services is negatively affected by the shortage of mental health providers. The primary care provider or pediatrician is in a key position to identify behavioral health concerns, coordinate services, and provide treatment to the patient.
This project aimed to improve access to children's mental health care by creating and implementing an educational course on the collaborative care model (CoCM), a model of integrated care that embeds mental health professionals into the primary care setting.
Pre- and post-surveys were embedded in the online CoCMcourse to track course completion, identify clinical staff knowledge, and identify clinical staff interest in implementing the CoCMin practice.
Following project implementation, clinical staffs' responses from the pre-and post-surveys represented an increase in knowledge and interest in implementing the CoCMin practice after taking the online course.

To assess and characterize online ratings and comments on pediatric otolaryngologists and determine factors that correlate with higher ratings.
Online database analysis.
All American Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology (ASPO) members were queried on Healthgrades, Vitals, RateMDs, and Yelp for their online ratings and comments as of June 2020. Ratings were normalized for comparison on a five-point Likert scale. All comments were categorized based on context and positive or negative quality.
Of the 561 ASPO members, 489 (87%) were rated on at least one online platform. Of those rated, 410 (84%) were on Healthgrades, 429 (88%) on Vitals, 236 (48%) on RateMDs, and 72 (15%) on Yelp. Across all platforms, the average overall rating was 4.13± 0.03 (range, 1.00-5.00). We found significant positive correlations between overall ratings and specific ratings (P < .001) on all individual topics. SGI-1776 In addition, the majority of all narrative comments were related to perceived physician bedside manner and clinical outcome, with negative comments correlating negatively with overall score (P < .05). Time spent with the physician was the only category in which both positive and negative comments showed significant correlation with the overall physician rating (P=.016 and P=.017, respectively). Attending a top-ranked medical school or residency program did not correlate with higher or lower ratings.
Online ratings and comments for pediatric otolaryngologists are largely influenced by patient and parent perceptions of physician competence, comforting bedside manner, and office and time management.

The evolution of atrioventricular conduction disorders after transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) remains poorly understood. We sought to identify factors associated with late (occurring≥7 days after the procedure) high-grade atrioventricular blocks after TAVI, based on specific pacemaker memory data.
STIM-TAVI (NCT03338582) was a prospective, multicentre, observational study that enrolled all patients (from November 2015 to January 2017) implanted with a specific dual chamber pacemaker after TAVI, with the SafeR algorithm activated, allowing continuous monitoring of atrioventricular conduction. The primary endpoint was the occurrence of centrally adjudicated late high-grade atrioventricular blocks during the year after TAVI. Among 197 patients, 138 (70.1%) had≥1 late high-grade atrioventricular block. Whereas oversizing (p = .005), high-grade atrioventricular block during TAVI (p < .001), and early (within 6 days) high-grade atrioventricular block (p < .001) were associated with occurrencck is the main factor associated with occurrence of late high-grade atrioventricular blocks.
Mutations in mitochondrial tRNA (mt-tRNA) genes are associated with hypertension, although their pathogenic mechanisms remain poorly understood.
In the present study, two Han Chinese families with maternally transmitted hypertension were interviewed. The mtDNA mutations of matrilineal relatives were screened by polymerase chain reaction-Sanger sequencing. Mitochondrial ATP, membrane potential and reactive oxygen species (ROS) were also analyzed in polymononuclear leukocytes carrying these mt-tRNA mutations. Additionally, the levels of oxidative stress-related biomarkers [malondialdehyde (MDA), superoxide dismutase (SOD) and glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px) and 8-hydroxy-2-deoxyguanosine (8-OHdG)] were analyzed.
Nine of 13 adult matrilineal relatives of these pedigrees exhibited a wide range of severity of hypertension. The age at onset of hypertension was 30-62 years (average 46 years). Mutational screening of mitochondrial genomes revealed tRNA
